Tux and Fanny was an absolute delight to experience. The gameplay is a homage to old point and click games similar to King's Quest. The gameplay may not appeal to everyone, but I loved these as a kid, and Tux and Fanny does a fantastic job of taking what worked with those old games while removing more dated elements like the insane puzzles of old Sierra titles. I wish I could describe the emotions this game made me felt, but I truly cant think as to where I would begin to start. The fever dream nature, the constant changing artstyle, the weirdly profound dialogue, and the odd and somber music. All of these combine to make one of the most charming, comforting, funny experiences while also being unsettling, and off-putting. I genuinely love this game in a way words can't convey. If anything I said interests you please pick this one up. It wont be for everyone but I genuinely think this is something special. And if your on the fence there is a very good webseries that the game is based off of, and if you enjoy that you'll enjoy the game. This game really is unlike anything I've played and I'm sad its flown under the radar seemingly. I recommend this game as long as long as your okay with point and click style games

it's very hard for me to put my feelings about this game into words. you should really experience it for yourself, you'll see what i mean
tux and fanny is hauntological, like an adaptation of a lost children's cartoon from decades past, melancholic and introspective but also full of whimsy and a simultaneously mature and childlike wonder at the world and everything in it. it's a slice of life, "comfy", but in a grounded way that a lot of "comfy" games struggle to achieve with their saccharine, overly sanitised, and often infantilising representations of (or replacements for) reality
there's a simple beauty to its philosophy on life that's nice to experience even if you don't necessarily agree with it
