Very short and simple, but maybe a bit too simple. The voice acting is corny but has a lot of charm. It's a nice way to experience one of the most iconic Sherlock Holmes adventures. Not fond of the music tho, had to turn it off. It's way too intense and high energy for the type of game it's in. It was constantly taking me out of it. In terms of challenge it's whack. Basically it's all way too easy except for one puzzle that's an insane difficulty spike 3/4 of the way in. I spent 40min on it and ended up using a guide. Overall it's fairly fun, I wish there were more Sherlock Holmes games that mix puzzles and hidden objects.

Still holds up pretty well, and only had one crash overall.
Only downside is that you cannot get all achievements in one play through, and I had issues with one since I had to uninstall and reinstall which caused me to have to play it 3 times total instead of 2 for them. So if you wish to 100% it, keep in mind to not uninstall the game until you have it!!

This was really hard to decide whether to recommend or not.
I came into this off the back of Crime & Punishment and boy howdy that was a shock to the system. In general the puzzles are ok, with the one difficult one having a couple different solutions in Steam Guides.
I liked the fact that the map makes it clear when there's something left in the room for you to do so you're not endlessly going from room to room clicking everything aimlessly.
It's on me that I didn't realise it was a Hidden Objects game but I found these portions annoying. Some items particularly in the middle sections of the game are rather obtuse to find, and in general I found that they slowed the pace down to a crawl, making it hard to build up any tension whatsoever. There is also something quite hard to wrap your head around with Sherlock Holmes and the fantastical elements of it.
What drove me *absolutely mad* was the music. The soundtrack is extremely limited so I got sick of it really early on, and it completely disregards whatever it is you are doing at the time so you'll just have high tension music when you're trying to find the last frog or whatever from the HO that will unlock piece 2/3 of a puzzle, so it just made the whole tone a bit flat.

This is mostly a hidden object game, with a fair amount of basic puzzles. The voice acting is reasonably good and the story works as far as it goes. It's not a point & click adventure like other Sherlock Holmes games, but knowing that going in, it's pretty fun/addictive for an afternoon. I wouldn't buy for more than a a couple bucks, but if you want a casual game to play, it's good.

Fun point and click hidden object game with an interesting story. Has a number of other puzzles to complete, which is the only part I found let it down. Some of the other puzzles were more frustrating than interesting to solve, and there was often a delay before it would confirm I had the right answer, which meant I spent about 10 mins trying to figure out what I had done wrong with one puzzle only to end up back at my original answer, sit there staring at it for about 10 seconds trying to figure out what else I could try, for it to then produce the pop up saying I'd successfully solved it.

10/10 for nostalgia! Exactly how I remember it as a child! Highly recommended for the warm and fuzzy feelings it brought inside. My inner child came alive. :)
Outside of this, as with any decade old games, it does have quite a few bugs and the puzzles can be a bit annoying at times. However, they do not distract from the joys it brings to an inner child that once played this back in the day.
