I've played for 109 hours, what do you think? Origins innovates with unique enemy types and enhanced cutscene detail and even by different people earns its spot in the "Arkham" series by a longshot. Favorite feature: The Batcave to practice tricky combo moves.

After playing Batman Asylum, I played this game. It can be said that this part improved quite a lot compared to the previous one, as both gameplay and graphics are better. The DLC is quite short, taking just over an hour to complete. The side missions besides the main story are only interesting in the first few, after that they become repetitive so I found them quite boring. I couldn’t complete all the achievements in the game because the online mode has long been discontinued. Therefore, since I couldn't complete the achievements, I rate this game 6.5/10. All in all, the game is decent for entertainment.

An underrated gem—both the gameplay and story hold up just as well as the original trilogy. Though the ending feels a bit rushed and the characters' mouths twitch weirdly during dialogue. Still, a fantastic experience overall.

overall i really love this game and i think you should def try it especially if you're a fan of this series. however the pc port gave me a few issues, this version was a biit bugger, and had a lot of audio problems, nothing that breaks the game but still it got annoying at points because id have to restart the game since the games bugs prevented me from progressing

Jumping into Arkham Origins honestly felt like digging up Batman’s old yearbook photos: awkward, rough around the edges, but totally fascinating. This isn’t the Bat who’s got Gotham eating out of his gloved hand. Nah, this is scrappy, pissed-off Bruce, just starting to mess with the city’s underbelly, and Gotham’s basically side-eyeing him the whole time. That vibe? Way more raw, way more personal. Right from the jump, it’s got this chilly, almost mean Christmas vibe. Snow everywhere, Gotham’s all decked out but not in that cozy way, more “it’s dangerous to walk outside” than “let’s have cocoa.” There’s a hit list with Batman’s name on it, so you know things are about to go sideways. The city doesn’t worship him here; it’s like everyone’s just waiting to see if he’ll screw up. The mood sucked me in. It’s got that classic noir loneliness, you know? The cold isn’t just for show, it kinda seeps into everything. Nobody’s romanticizing Gotham. It’s a dump, honestly, packed with goons who haven’t learned to flinch at Bat-shaped shadows and assassins who can’t wait to get paid. Combat? Yeah, it’s the Arkham formula. You’re punching, dodging, throwing gadgets like a lunatic. But it’s not as polished as City, and weirdly, that works. Batman’s still figuring it out, he’s a little rough, takes some hits, sometimes screws up the timing. Fights feel messier, almost desperate, more like getting jumped in an alley than some choreographed dance number. What kept me glued was watching Batman mess up and learn. He’s not a legend yet, just a guy trying to work out his issues by beating up thugs. His relationships? Yikes. He’s not winning any “World’s Best Boss” mugs, and half the time he’s just trying to stick to his own moral code. That messiness actually gives the story some bite, even if it doesn’t always hit super hard. Now, the villains are an absolute highlight. Deathstroke’s boss fight is still a banger. Bane’s around, Black Mask is doing his thing, Firefly gets wild, and early Joker is just… man, he’s already nuts. Some of them don’t get enough screentime, but the whole setup of eight assassins hunting Batman? Adds some real urgency, even when the plot gets a little wonky. Detective mode’s back and the crime scene stuff looks slick. Not super challenging, but it makes Batman feel like, you know, an actual detective instead of just a punch machine. Wandering around Gotham feels good. The city isn’t reinventing the wheel, but the snow, the Christmas lights, that creepy quiet, there’s a vibe here you don’t get anywhere else. Side quests and the Riddler (sorry, “Enigma”) give you stuff to do, even if it’s mostly distractions. Visually, it holds up better than you’d think. Snow looks legit, shadows are moody, Batsuit’s got that “just bought this off Craigslist” grit. Plus, shoutout to the voice actors: Roger Craig Smith nails the young, edgy Batman, and Troy Baker’s Joker is bonkers in the best way. Look, it’s not perfect. Glitches pop up, some parts drag, and a couple story beats just kinda fizzle. It feels like the team didn’t get quite enough time to polish it up. You notice it, but it’s not a dealbreaker. Bottom line, Arkham Origins gets slept on way too much. It’s more than a prequel, it’s a look at Batman before the legend, before the city knew to be scared. Sure, it’s not as tight as City or as groundbreaking as Asylum, but it digs into Bruce’s head in a way those games never did. Not the cleanest entry, but it’s got heart. If you care about how the Bat became the Bat, give this one a shot. It’s messy, it’s passionate, and honestly, that’s what makes it work.

Good storyline, voice acting and graphics. A little difficult to know what to do in the beginning, especially in combat since I only learned I could press E to do takedowns after I finished the main story. Otherwise fun, definitely recommend it.

Building upon what Rocksteady had made, WB Montreal did a decent enough job. They tried to add new things to combat and predator sections but they ended up just making ultra OP gadgets that I literally avoid using too much because of how easy it makes the game by abusing them (Remote Claw and Shock Gloves). Story is fantastic for the most part. For some reason you need I Am the Night mode to complete a 100% save file which makes no sense. The game's replayability is terrible full of long unskipable sections like the crime scene reconstructions. This game only gets such a high score because it's made with Arkham City as a foundation, which is a masterpiece. DLC is amazing, though. NORA !
