Unfortunately the gameplay is not fun, progress is very linear, upgrades are not explained (e.g. what are active/passive abilities and what counts as weapon). I only played the first two maps and as enemies you basically had only the standard melee grunts and on the second map some shooters - no variations whatsoever.
Upgrade between runs are basic, lame stat increases. Also, there is almost no synergy between weapons/upgrades within runs. The gameplay gets tiring very fast.
Buy yourself Brotato or other similar games.
