Fun game, started playing it because I saw neebs gaming playing. I haven't had much success in getting fish skin, but its not used very much.
Once in awhile my cursor will get stuck and i won't be able to move my cursor until I either right or left click. Also there's no momentum, if you jump and you're looking in one direction and turn while your in air you will go in the direction you turn to.
I've enjoyed the game so far, looking forward to seeing where it goes.

wow I played for 10 hours in one sitting! it's definitely not a bad game! still rough around the edges in some places, few things I might like done differently but worth the price easily.

Very relaxing crafting game. The survival aspect is just about right regarding attacks and enough food and drink.

Let me start by saying that I truly want this game to be successful.
I've cleared the map on the hardest difficulty without dying, and had a great time doing it; however there is one critical game-breaking issue which makes the game ultimately unplayable.
Many of you already know, but many of you might not realize... Item Duplication exists in Sunkenland.
Both in single player and multiplayer, without any third party programs, item duping is essentially built in to the game as a feature. It only takes a few clicks in the right sequence, can be done by anyone, and once you know about it.. it's basically impossible to come back from.
Duping has been in the game for over 2 years now...
It was originally suspected to be a glitch or bug, yet even after seeing patch notes like "fixed item duplication bug" several times, I can confirm that duping is very much still possible for anyone to do once they know the trick.
At this point, I'm left only to assume that the developers are leaving duping in the game intentionally as a feature to let them shortcut progression. Maybe they didn't think that so many players would figure out how to do it, but the secret has been out for a long time now. I personally discovered how to dupe items on accident, that's how easy it is.. I never looked up how to do it; it was just discovered through organic gameplay.
It's sad because I'm the type of player that really enjoys a hardcore Co-op PvE experience, but having this item duping left in the game for so long now makes it so that there is effectively zero integrity in any multi-player playthrough. I'll host a playthrough and be like 10 days in, and then some random player joins up and seems cool at first but then in 10 minutes they're on reinforced walls with helicopter, completely bypassing progressing using the dupe. It's so common that I mostly started playing solos but even there it's so hard to not be tempted to dupe up a stack of whatever resource you're low on.
I just want the item duplication bug to be fixed once and for all, so that this game has integrity again and your accomplishments are a reflection of the time and skill you've put in. Unless or until they correct this, there's absolutely no reason to play this game in its current state, despite that several other aspects of gameplay are quite fun. This should theoretically be a very simple fix.. I can't imagine there being some technical limitation that mandates this bug must exist, but who knows.
I'm not a dev but I just want the game to be fun again, like it used to be before I learned about the dupe glitch. Please fix this.
Thanks!

Although this game is kinda janky and rough in terms of dressing (textures&sound) it plays well and feels more like a charm than a bother. The game has a lot of content and a fun gather, build and progression loop. I am having a lot of fun.

Not worth it at full price. Doesn't break through the $1 = 1 hour of fun barrier.
Pretty good for the first few hours; exploration is interesting, base building & defending raids rewarding. Then, at about 15 hours, it all just becomes a chore. It stops introducing new elements & doesn't encourage mastery of existing ones, it just kind of keeps going. Much more fun in multiplayer but that's more because you're hanging out with a friend than because the game is good.
Should get better if the devs keep on it but right now I wouldn't recommend it unless it's at least 25% off.

There's a lot I can say about this game. I really wrote up this great big ol' encyclopedia, a full mass of words that'd make the average diehard instagramer go cross-eyed and suffer a full cranial meltdown. Even I thought it a bit much. So this is the shortest version I can manage.
There's not a lot of games that have crafting, survival, and an aquatic theme, let alone coop, and first person. First-person coop craft-and-survival is probably one of my favouritest genres of all time. Easily top five. And yet all I can say is if you get this game, don't set your expectations very high.
These have become easier games to build nowadays, there's a bunch of prebuilt libraries in Unreal and Unity to do a bunch of the heavy code lifting for you. And it kind of shows here, as there's some real indifference on display here. Things like "fdsfdsfdsfdsfds" showing for a full second on loot drops.
That's not the least of it. This is hardly a complete list: Paddle boats doing 48 km/hr and skiffs doing 60 in a headwind. Clothing and armour options with clipping. Enemies that either run at you or scootch from side to side like it was Quake 2 and you have a quad-damage railgun (while you gotta manage recoil and movement penalties). I don't have to defend my base, the enemies happily grind their noses against the walls, firing very infrequently and impotently at indestructible items. Saw mills that cut sideways. Questionable English such as "Brick embryos". It's an indifference to immersion, or just carelessness.
And right here is about six paragraphs about the perverse decisions on helicopter flight. You won't get those, but I'll regale you for the price of a pint.
But there's little things the game does kind of right: trimming the sails on the skiff to take advantage of the wind. Build-your-own guns. The watery depths getting darker as you go deeper. Just the tension of managing air while swimming inside buildings while sharks are happy to give you a welcoming nibble.
The world itself feels like a bunch of neat locations were plopped down with little thought how they'd come together. Since there's a submerged amusement park and a lot of the structure is intact, I'd expect most of the urban infrastructure to remain as well. Submerged roads, more concrete stanchions holding up bits of elevated highway (since there's a bit remaining), that sort of thing.
They're adding naval combat in the game and, I imagine that might make things a bit zestier, at least with a build-your-own base. But it feels like there's so much in the game that needs attention this is a weird push.
I still spent some hours at it, on my own; the key binding options were hostile to lefties so my wife was out and refunded immediately. Still, I didn't mind creeping about and shooting fools to steal their stuff. I got some value from it.
Taken as a whole, the game sits at 51% for me. I don't know I'd actually reccommend it. But my standard for a "thumbs down" is that I'd completely refuse to play it, or just pull the plug and quit. I wouldn't really suggest you buy it because I think what it offers, right now, is overpriced, and I'm not sure they will deliver. Buuuuut it does have some potential, and it does a few things right, and sometimes it might just happen. So you never know. I mean, I did do 20+ hours on it, after all.
So proceed with caution, I guess. Accept it's early access, and if you really have an itch to dive... well, there's this, if the other options don't do it for you.

People claiming the game is abandoned is FALSE.
Per the Dev's website:
"Our team, consisting of 7 members, is currently focused on developing the Sunkenland game. Based mainly in the United States, our diverse team comes from various backgrounds in the gaming industry. With a mix of experience levels, our team combines years of wisdom with fresh ideas. We're excited to expand our team as Sunkenland's needs grow, and we're fully committed to realizing the game's maximum potential. Sunkenland is more than a project; it's the core of our existence, and we're determined to make it the best it can be".
Also, people complaining about updates taking a while... ITS 7 PEOPLE. If you want monthly updates you only need to play games with 50+ dev members on the game aka just stick to AAA titles only. Patience is a virtue. Remember Stardew Valley wasn't the game it is today when it first released February 26, 2016... and Stardew isn't the graphics or the complexity of this game.

I absolutely LOVE this game. I have now gone through the game 3 times, meticulously taking over every island. I thoroughly enjoy farming the underwater POI's as much as I do plundering the islands for their resources. The game has changed a lot over the course of the last two years. It's been a pleasure to watch the game develop into what it is now.
The music is is on point. Soothing when it needs to be and commanding when it has to be. Excellent sounds overall. Gathering sounds are one of the things that hook me for a game and this one hooked me quick lol
Do not let the recent negative reviews get you down about this game....most of them are claiming it has been abandoned without any update news but that is not the case. Vector3 only has 7 on their team so things take time.
Thank you devs for bringing me hundreds of hours of enjoyment!
Love,
Plum

I don't know why many of the reviews aren't mentioning this but the reason why I really don't like the game is the AI, it's buggy as hell, it's gamebreakingly buggy. The term ''the AI doesn't feel real'' doesn't really make sense usually but in this game the AI doesn't even feel like AI, it's awful, the just aimbot shoot you, there's no sneaking around them, they shoot you through walls and shit and they always see you, it's awful, all my friends stopped playing because of it and the fact that it hasn't been adressed is mind boggling.
