I'm an RC Pilot. I'm not very advanced yet. I'm mostly focused on "Joy Flying", kinda like joy riding in a car. But as I progress I need to be able to learn and refine new things as they present themselves. And RealFlight Evolution is THE PLACE to learn and practice RC Flying! If you like Spektrum and Horizon Hobby models then you can access many many of the popular models available. In RealFlight you can access the AeroScout and the HABU EDF to get you started in basic flight skills and basic Jet handling skills as well. The physics and the ability to use my Spektrum Transmitter makes this a perfect practice arena and I even use THIS to help me set up and test each model in my transmitter too! I'm Flying in RealFlight almost daily :-)

Provides a great platform to keep skills up in the off months, training for a beginner, or even try out planes you may be considering for purchase. I'm amazed how close many of the planes fly just like the real rc version I have of them. I have the EC-1500, F-16 80mm, 2.0 Trojan, 1.5 P-51, and Draco just to name a few and they all handle very similar to the real RC plane.

there is a reason that seasoned commercial pilots with 1000s of hours of flight time still do simulator training. It reinforces existing and teaches new muscle memory, hand-eye coordination and situation-based rapid decision making. RealFlight Evolution helps me with all of that and I have more confidence at the live flight line for every hour I spend on the simulator with my own radio that I use to fly my planes.

RFE is more than a flight simulator and also more than a game. If you are interested in RC flight this program will not only keep your skills sharp during bad weather, but will save you countless hundreds if not thousands in not crashing your IRL birds. Another perk is you get to check out many different kinds of planes and choppers before you decide to buy them for your personal hangar. The tutorials can be boring - but that is how you learn how different airframes act in the air, don't skip them. Lots of user generated vehicles are available through Knifeedge for free.

If you are going to be flying Horizon Hobby, EFlite, etc. ,this is the simulator that reflects tose plane.

Works fairly well with my DXe transmitter and USB dongle - an absolute must. Sketchy with Xbox controller but still playable. Graphics leave somewhat to be desired but along with past versions I have seen. Definitely suggest switching to the classic menu. ~ to bring up console, enter showlegacymenu, press Enter.

Very realistic RC plane flight simulator. Not a game, but a tool to allow practice while removing the expense of constant landing gear ( or worse) repair. Allows new flyers to get experience and build confidence without fear of a crash standing in the way. Also allows for learning flight characteristics of aircraft before purchase, learning of advanced techniques like aerobatics. Great to keep skills sharp during winter. I also suggest this as a way to interest children in the RC flying hobby. Good luck, and good flying.

The Pros: train to fly rc by purchasing DLC for the you own. The Cons: literally everything else including having to pay $100 + extra for the plane, heli, or drone you may own. Graphics options are pretty bad, you can't set resolution. For such a mainstream RC company, this simulator is pretty horrible. Sadly there isn't much better alternative. If you aren't buying their product, their radio, etc prepare to suffer. I refused to buy an overpriced Spektrum transmitter but I did buy the Spektrum WS2000 to bind my RadioMaster TX16S to. This radio transmitter and receiver works great in OTHER sims such as Reflex(can have controls bound in less than 5 minutes and be flying) Terrible experience, refunded.

It is a very good sim. for you if you want to do RC airplanes. I would recommend fist getting the REAL FLIGHT TRAINER EDITION first. Because it teaches you a lot of practice with the little airplanes first.

best way to learn and avoid many expensive crashes in real world. reset and carry on , became much better on planes and learned helicopters from scratch on this simulator
