I really hate giving this game a low rating. I ended up playing it long enough to get all the achievements, hoping it would just "click" for me and I would fall in love...but I never did. The game definitely isn't really a survival or builder game. In fact, if you stand in place your "energy" restores itself automatically. It just restores faster when eating. There is no combat, and no danger...jumping off the top of the tower results in a loss of some of this energy. I don't mind this, actually...I enjoy Walking Simulators, after all. But I wish I knew it going in. There are a lot of shallow mechanics throughout the game. You do collect resources, but once you upgrade the farm (don't bother) and your tools (which don't actually upgrade the tools, just give you stat bonuses) and get the bigger ship (which doesn't seem to do much different? maybe it was faster?), you end up not needing them. In fact...I don't see any reason to actually keep the Lighthouse running. It gives you a pittance of materials while it is running at night...but it really isn't worth the time. People constantly visit your island during the day, and this is the plotline. Initially it starts off as a tutorial, then they start telling you to visit the various other islands, each of which has a simple puzzle to solve to get an item. Once you have all the items, and do one more thing, the game is done. The game seems to be philosophical in nature...but the translation wasn't great. I couldn't really translate what was trying to be conveyed. In addition, the game could've really used some peaceful background music....something other than the background sound effects. All in all, this is just a "fetch quest" game, really. I got it on deep sale...but after having played it, I think I could've skipped it without much loss.

A fun little indie game that's a nice time killer. It's got that certain charming jankiness in that special way that some indie games do so don't go into it expecting triple AAA quality. I like the art style, and personally I like having quests given to me that I go complete like a little goblin that simply exists to complete tasks. There's a bit of basic farming and fishing in the game if you're into it but I personally don't care much for fishing or farming unless it's integral to the gameplay which it's not exactly in this one but I still had fun with it. Overall, pretty fun little game, I've certainly played worse.
