So far it's quite enjoyable. It's not break your mind with an obtuse puzzle, everything is there or close to in the area you need it. I'm in Act 3 as of writing this and it's a quality game that doesn't frustrate me like a lot of other adventure/puzzle games with tediously slow backtracking.

As an experienced adventure game player I would say this game is enjoyable. It is on the easier side and maybe a little short, but that's ok with me. I finished the game in roughly 4.5 hours without any walktrough and I was never really stuck more than a few minutes. Some people might consider the price of the game to be a little bit expensive. Maybe. This is not really a problem for me, but I can understand some people thinking that. I myself am ok to support indie developer and pay the price they ask if I think it is fair, and here I think it is. But I agree with the argument that you can find games with more content for that price. A few minor nitpicks : many screens are just liminal space (screens where you just go to go to the next screen immediately, with nothing really to do in it). It is a little bit sad to have so many screens but use them so little. There is some back-and-forth that may be a little bit boring after a while. The game is very linear, but since it's on the easier side, you probably will not get stuck. Regarding the story, the "alien" world doesn't really feel "alien". It feels more like you are playing in one of the world in Myst (or Riven). Some of the cutscenes do not bring much to the story. On the positive sides I didn't encounter any bugs. I didn't see any spelling mistakes in the text (I played in english). Every puzzle seem fair and logical (there is no moon logic, which is always good). Overall I enjoyed it. It is a good game. But it is not for everyone and I understand some of the negative reviews.

The Abandoned Planet is a cool puzzle game with a beautiful pixel art aesthetic. With point and click mechanics, the game still engages the player with story and progression. The narrator at times can get a bit of annoying, but still a great game. I found a little difficult, but I think most would find they don't go too deep. Definitely recommend this game if these features sound appealing. Recommended.

This is a great point & click adventure! The world building is wonderful & the story is fun. The puzzles were just challenging enough to not get you stuck. I look forward to more titles from this creator!
