Just finished my Masters Limited, meaning I can sail as an officer on all ships world wide.
Did a test, failed it and thought wtf? Went into the lesson, then back into the test, gave the same answers and passed.
Controls suck, behaviour of the boats seems extremely unrealistic.
2/10 would not recommend.

Spent ages going through the lessons as a complete beginner. After I completed all of them, I tried out the tutorial. Here's the neat thing, it doesn't teach you how to sail. So there's like 25 lessons to teach you the parts of a boat, some basic rules regarding water ways, and the terminology. But... nothing on how to actually sail?? Like am I missing something? The tutorial is jank and forces you to restart the entire thing if you mess up even once. Really frustrating that after an hour spent trying to get to learn how to sail, I'm left with no help as to how to actually do it, especially not how to tightly maneuver a small little dinghy in a tiny lake with obstacles everywhere that instantly force you to restart the level if you hit them.
Seems so promising in concept, but as a tool to teach people the basics of sailing, you have to teach them the damn basics of how to sail. Fucking obviously. So unsatisfying and a complete waste of my time and money.

Can't go wrong for the price!
The controls and graphics are basic, but good enough to let you control the boat with what feels like realistic wind.
I wish there was an iOS version!

Controls for this for PC are awful. No way to turn correctly using only the keyboard, buggy as far as keeling over or hitting things.

Graphics are okay-ish. Other than that, it needs a lot of work before it becomes something that I'd be willing to recommend.

This is a nice relaxing sailing game, with fantastic sailing information baked in. Super value and will not disappoint.

For the price its quite a decent simulator that I feel belongs in the mobile app store. On the pc, you only control 1 thing at a time which probably aligns with the developer's goal of simulating a solo sailor since you probably do 1 thing at a time.
The controls are alot more basic than I expected but thats alright, there are a couple of sailing simulators that does a better job out there but they are at a higher price point.
If you'd like a simple sailing simulator, I guess this is worth a shot.

Others are saying the controls are only mouse, but I'm using my laptop keys (WASD + arrow keys) to sail. Maybe that was added since their reviews.
I haven't read/looks for instructions and it was easy to pick and play.
Perfect for me to introduce the 4 and 6 year old to sailing controls in a fun way.
Lots of tutorials about sailing included, great for refreshing my mind and also a sectional random test so you can skip all the tutorials if you know the difference between your keel and your starboard.
Only played for about 45 minutes, but already decided it was worth the few pounds it just cost me.

Feels like a mobile to PC port (since it is exactly that). Physics works well, the boats act like they normally would, but there isn't as wide a range of content as i thought would come with a simulator that costs £2 or 3$. It makes sense that is isn't the most technical simulator out there, as it is only £2, but it does seem a bit basic, especially with the controls. The whole thing is controlled by a mouse, meaning that you can focus on one specific thing at a time, which means that you have to try and switch fast between the sheet and tiller controls. In a real life sailboat, especially the Laser dinghy, you would have hold of both the main sheet and the tiller at the same time, which therefore means that you can control both at the same time, and in this game, you cannot.
Don't get me wrong here, it is great if you want a chill sailing sim, but if you want to get the proper feel of a sailing yacht or dinghy, you should find another, likely more expensive sim, such as eSail. This is a budget option - has all of the basics, but isn't the most detailed. It is good, but not great.
