I really like it! I think the aesthetics and story are the strongest parts. The game has a sort of "toy action figure" look to it in a way that I find really fascinating and fun, and the story had some really cool and unexpected twists in it. I like the monster and character designs a lot, too. The puzzles were kind of hit-and-miss for me. Some of them felt really clever and cool, while others HAD hints for them, but the hints were so far from where the puzzle actually was, in terms of game progression, that I had forgotten about the hints by the time I was able to actually solve the puzzle. Also, the mushroom puzzle is terrible, because it presents you with a puzzle, and then just asks you to power through the incorrect answers anyways? I don't get why. Ultimately, though, I think this game is absolutely worth playing! A fantastic story told through a very cool format that I found to be very enjoyable overall. The dragons in this game get a rating of 7/10, because there are dragon-ish sea serpents. They're pretty cool and they have lovely singing voices.

If you love the original Resident Evil 4 with tank controls where you have to aim using your directional keys, you'd have a great time playing this game. The puzzles are great, the story goes like a typical zombie movie, the backtracking is great as you'll be unlocking meaningful upgrades for your arsenal (since some of these upgrades are locked behind side quests or puzzles, there's a high chance that you'd miss them), enemies and environmental hazards spawn each time you make some progress which keeps you cautious every time you re-enter the area and the artstyle reminds me of the old ps1-2 games like final fantasy 7. Ahh, those were the good times. Definitely recommend. Update: I finished the game and I must say that I had a ton of fun playing it and now I'm thinking about going for another playthrough. The only criticism that I have is that the developer should've put treasures instead of random items like ammo in secrets. That would've incentivized players to look around for these secrets, which they could trade with a merchant in exchange for weapon attachments or bonuses.

Step back to 2001 in this retro inspired Horror game, as you explore a wonderfully spooky little theme park, and ask the question "What is the difference between a Crow and Raven?" ✔️ Fantastic puzzle design. I'm not into puzzle games much but the puzzles in here were masterfully done. ✔️ World design is really good. Size of the game is perfect. ✔️ Sound & Audio is great. ✔️ Visually its good, its clearly stylised to look like a game of the past and it feels like a really good modern adaptation. ✔️ Runs great on the Steam deck. ❓Character development is really hit & miss, some are developed really well with multiple woven stories overlapping, b u t, your story and some of the NPC's you meet have zero purpose in the game. Its a shame because the Plot of the game is actually stellar. ❓Maybe a little pricey outside of a sale. ❌ The combat in this game is really weak, There is an option to play without any combat (Which was also quite weird when you start playing..) Its like the Dev's knew it was weak and couldn't do anything about it. ❌ (Spoilers about story)
Game sets itself up for Multiple endings, but really there are only 2 and they are pretty much the same, I would have loved to have had to choose who survives at the end because there wasn't enough vaccine! Missed opportunity there.
❌ Not really a "horror game" .. A best its .. kinda spooky but not really scary ever.

Absolute peak. Game has great aesthetics that nails the feel of PS1 games really well compared to a lot I played that try to emulate that era of video games. It can get unexpectedly scary at times, but it also doesn't take itself too seriously and is lighthearted at others, which makes for a great break in between gameplay. Puzzles took me longer than the average person, but the game overall guides you in a roundabout way to clue you in on how to find the solution. Puzzles suck when they take too long, but it did not feel frustrating at all here, mainly because it always felt like you either had something else you could do or a clue to recall. It's also incredibly refreshing to see each new area. The fact that the game is set in an amusement park is a great excuse to just go all out on wildly different areas that are very distinct and memorable. Some are laid back and relaxing, while others have more of a spooky atmosphere that fits quite well with the theme park. The world also grows around you the more you progress, which makes you feel more important and have a bigger impact as a player than you initially thought. It makes traversing less repetitive, cleverly designed to make you have second thoughts around areas you once thought you knew. The story is fed to you by crumbs and will be at the back of your mind while playing to not get in your way and let you focus more on puzzle-solving, but it does pick up nicely and ties loose ends that reward you for doing your own homework and paying attention to the environment around you. Short & Cozy. Support this game!

Crow Country is a lovingly crafted survival horror experience, ideal for fans of early Resident Evil and Silent Hill. It blends nostalgic design with modern accessibility and strong narrative engagement. While short and occasionally light on combat depth, its puzzles, atmosphere, and story deliver a rewarding adventure. Explore it if you crave retro horror with a modern polish.

Really good RE-like survival horror game with a toy-like aesthetic that surprisingly doesn't make the story, characters and enemies any less serious. 1) Starting the the "Medium" difficulty it's what I'd recommend for most people, unless you're really good in this genre. I don't know how "Explorer" or Easy are 'cause I never tried it. 2) The story is engaging and the characters are interesting (except Marvin). 3) The graphic style is constantly shown with a sense of decay everywhere, something that highly contrasts with the place it happens: An amusement park. 4) The music and SFX are pretty good too. Even though some of the BGMs sometimes make certain places sound funny, they change the more you progress through the game and they tend to become "darker". 5) The controls are simple and responsive though the constant rotation of the cammera sometimes makes it confusing to run away and shoot. In summary, a very good game that I'd recommend to anyone that likes the classic RE games and survival horror games in general

this game feels exactly like a classic ps1 survival horror. the story, music, art, and atmosphere are all perfect. it also has excellent replay ability. the aiming controls do feel a bit sluggish at times, but they're easy to adapt to. i would love to see more games in this style from the developer in the future.

The only criticism I could give this game is that it isn't long enough. Even on Sale the the price is a bit of a sting for the amount of time it takes to finish. But its classic survival horror from the PS1 era but with a new lick of paint. Very good fun.

From start to finish an absolutely fantastic experience. Great level design, amazing 90s themed graphics and music and cute story. Beautiful homage to PS1 era survival horror games. The two downsides the game has is that it's very short (~4 hours to beat) and aiming is a bit janky.
