nope, I don't think it's worth the dollar and a half that I bought it for on sale. Real, real basic with no fast forward or any reason to continue playing. Snoozefest.

Starts off OK but every level is the same and there's only a few tower types. After level 20 it gets really boring. Dreadfully boring.

This feels like some indy-devs first TD, but despite lack of progression and complete lack of tower options it's quite nice albeit casual.
Things like the level-menu stands out as particularly bad, but doesn't really matter. I'm guessing assets come from kenney.nl or similar. Of the 3 towers one is useless, so tower options are really lacking.
Wave balance and pacing is good and you have something to do most of the time.
Levels feel very similar to each other, but if you only play a few levels each day it won't wear you down.
It's enjoyable and the 40 levels will last you a while, so maybe it's worth $3, or so I think! (probably not more...)

Cyber Tower is a common Tower Defense, based of Defense Grid gameplay. It dont try to invent the wheel again, but provide a solid TD experience. The towers variations and enemies abit limited, however for this cheap price you will not be disapointed. The Developer still working on the game, polishing, improving it as also keep the contact with the community.
Recommended.

A change of heart, changing my review to positive. The game isn't perfect, but the combination of incremental improvements and developer responsiveness have changed my mind.
The game is pretty much a standard tower defense game.
There is a limited number of towers, only six, with only two upgrades for five of them (the other has none) and no choices or decision making.
The towers are as follows, energy (worth while. ten energy every ten seconds or so at the first level) a slowing tower, a machine gun type, missiles with a little AOE, and a big gun. The last gun is unusual in my experience, a wave buster. It is pretty expensive, but fires a mass of missiles, then self destructs. Has its uses in the late game, but it is a little larger than he regular towers, so you need to be sure to leave a space to place one.
The route has sections where pathing is available, then long stretches without, with gun posts on each side.
There are only a handful of enemies, and they don't really have much to distinguish them aside from their number of hit points. Some can attack, but only seem to do so when the path is blocked, which works for me. I normally dislike when towers can be destroyed.
They have recently added some primitive target prioritizing, which is nice.
The game does not have any strategic upgrades, nor does it have any tactical attacks or other options.
Sadly there is really very little to distinguish one level from the next. There re forty levels, but they are all just the same pieces rearranged without anything really interesting to make later ones different, except for more and bigger enemies.
All in all, at the price I paid, I decent offering, I feel that I have gotten my money's worth. That said, I wouldn't mind of the developers found more ways to make the game more interesting. One thumb up.

A competent tower defense game, though a bit slow to get going. Feels like it takes a lot of inspiration from Defense Grid: The Awakening.
Pros:
Clean presentation, no bugs that I encountered, acceptable price point for the amount of content, UI is excellent, tower upgrades make sense, enemies have physics allowing for interesting interactions, and balancing that lands nicely between challenging and punishing.
Cons:
No wave preview feature, no means of speeding up waves, early levels suffer from lack of variety in enemy type and tower availability, and has a bit of an inverse difficulty curve where the beginning of levels tends to be harder than the end.
Overall, if you're a fan of Tower Defense, Cyber Tower is a simple but competent entry to the genre. A couple tweaks to early pacing and the addition of some quality of life features would take this to the next level.
