I would recommend buying it just to support indie dev, hear me out. the early part is very interesting and they seem to put a lot of efforts [like serious efforts] giving the game some personality, you can tell by seeing the map and the phone menu, character portraits and such I would give 8.5/10 if things continue this way through out the story, however, the quality went down right after the player gets to the second part, the past. you'll experience many inconsistencies imaginable featuring but not limited to -An inaccessible town once you have entered it twice -The "if you not follow what I tell you to do, the game will start bugging with events missing" -The character I put into the offensive team showing up instantly in another team I put guarding the town -Unknown characters show up without any prior introduction playing a really big role... [could be the missing event mentioned above] -Interesting subplots that went nowhere. All in all, I can see you devs have a good story to tell here, it just isn't shinning as it's supposed to due to many reasons. I've bought the whole series, I hope you guys keep improving your skills. thank you for making the games :)

I'm posting this as a review as the dev doesn't answer posts on discussion thread. I was thoroughly enjoying this game until i hit a game breaking glitch. After saving Eros in ice cave and taking him back to the castle, my team becomes invisible. Really. Nowhere to be seen. I can move around but can't see where they are going. Who knows where the air ship is. Tried several times from several save sites. Didn't touch the white save site in case that caused the glitch. Would love to finish the game as already bought the sequel, but can't recommend until this glitch is fixed. Edit. Thanks to the prompt help from the dev i have now completed the game and am pleased to say i can definitely recommend.

My favourite game in the trilogy! It's a pretty classic JRPG, but I like the aspects of the phone, the idea of future characters going to the past (which we learn about in the 1st game Tales of Agaris) and the overall development. Since we got to actually play as the heroes, it's extra fun to go back in time and interact with them in this way. The storyline really draws you in and I really enjoyed the gimmick of the phone, the selfies were a fun addition and overall gameplay is good - would recommend!

First of all, there are two points that we need to know in order to proceed with this analysis:

Metthink is a SOLO developer, even though all of the visual design, songs and mechanics are from third-parties, he managed to gather it all by himself, and include all of it as he wished.
RPG Maker is a dated software
The thing is: You need to play all the series to enjoy it the way it deserves, because as you progresses through the game, you can see lots of references, and you might not be able to understand it completely if you don't have the background story. Chrono Trigger references here are crazy, and if i may say, it is a really good game to be inspired of, when we talk about time travel. About the difficulty: If you are a 'RPG gamer', you might find this game as a "normal difficulty", it really is a classic "OG Final Fantasy-like" game, with turn-based fights. However, if this is by any chance your first turn-based RPG game, you will probably find it hard, my tip is: Power Leveling is the key. About the story, we need to think about it as a whole, and I mean that we need to think about all of the trilogy. So, it is a good story, with good humor. We tend to see the 'time-traveling' type of story like, "ooh i'm gonna be a timeline maniac", like in popular recent games (Detroit: Become Human), which I don't think its the point here, It is more like Chrono Trigger-like type of story. And I say that because people can be a little too anxious to play games expecting a Detroit: Become Human, and they can be a little upset. Overall, it as a good game/series, you can have a good time playing it, since it is not too long, and not hard at all to understand it. There are some points here and there that could be better, but like I said before: This series are from a solo developer and RPG Maker is a dated software.

It is I! I came here from the Prequel itself. By that I meant I played it. Okay so... I saw that Lars was in this game too... For a bit... YAY! My strange likeness for him out of the way, we can talk about the game now! It's turn based. It has more... I wanna say CG/drawings this time around, since the main characters actually have a design to them. I see that the archer girl got a character design too. I recognize some levels and characters from the Prequel, but that's how it's supposed to be! The Omega gun is pretty darn powerful... Is it me or that "Stun" ability... The first skill you ever have, misses a lot... LIKE A LOT. I think I only hit twice with it. Maybe it's just me. The story: you will understand it. I played it in English and the translations are not perfect, but like I said: you will get what the Developer tried to get across. I like the music/ability to change it in battle/ cell phone + original menu and traveling and exploring the world. The longest Boss fight for me were the two robots, but eventually I did it. (So apparently... There is a magic spell that makes it easier... It's an element I didn't think to hit ALL the robots with...) I can now comment on the last Boss and will write out notes below, as there are issues with getting to him. Now I will talk about random points. Some of these may help your game play. - You can't sell in this game. Yes, there is a "Sell" button and no, it's never active. Only time it is... Is in Belta... At night... But by then you already have enough money if you went to the fire cave... Or the ice cave... - When buying armor/jewelry -> unless it specifically SAYS what points it increases... You have no idea what it increases. I recommend saving, then buying... Then reloading if it's not what you were looking for. - There are some spells: such as Willie's "Explosion" which comes up as TP instead of MP... Later it changes to MP, but "Explosion II" becomes TP ONLY. - Be careful what staves you equip: your spells WILL change... Also, please note that when you get to a new area, your spells might get taken away/changed due to the story progression. - If you didn't explore an area and need to go back: Better go there now or wait until late game. YOU will get trapped in the town and cannot leave. If you don't have potions... Hope you are well leveled then. - When you go to the town to travel by boat: Make sure you don't overspend on POTIONS: All of your ITEMS + GOLD will get taken away. Later you will get some replacements to your potions + if you find Alex (also hot) then you can get your gold back... But not the potions! - If you are wondering why there is a shield for sale when no one uses shields: you will find a character in the end game who uses them. Heads up: SHIELDS READ "Impairs Critical Evasion" -> I understand that as "WILL GET SUPER HARDCORE HIT BY CRITICAL ATTACKS"... I never got a chance to test that... As my game bugged out. - Lenna CANNOT USE STAVES. MEANING: You want buff magic? LEVEL WILLIE! I REPEAT: SHE CANNOT USE STAVES!!! So no buff magic from her! - Save Points AKA White Magic Circles -> DO NOT RESTORE YOUR HP/MP... Maybe ONE did... But I can't remember which one or if it did because I may already have had full health/mp... So if you got used to the Prequel save points? -> Now you know better. - You can run away from every enemy in this game, minus the Bosses... That is epic!!! - Enemies no longer have HP bars or QTEs like the Prequel. - If you resurrect Rion and then pick up the necklace on the ground: DO NOT TOUCH THE WHITE MAGIC CIRCLE!!! You WILL CRASH! There is a music error and I notified the Developer of it. - Aizack has severe memory problems... No really, like Hanzo worked for him as an assistant and then Aizack is like "those kids from the lab"... Lenna is also too naive, as grandpa does bad things to her and only after a long time she is like... "He has gone too far!" (Again, not making fun, but some things come out hilarious in their own way... Laughter is good!) - MMMMMMMMMMMMAAAAAAAAAAAAJJJJJJJJJJJJOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRR BUGGGGGGGGGGGGG: This is what happened to me and the steps I took... And yes, the Discussion boards knows about it: I got Rion. Fought Two Robots. Fought Lars (<3) and Aizack. NIGHTTIME BEGAN. Characters said "Let's get Elixirs" -> I am like "OKAY!"... I went to LUNA VILLAGE AT NIGHT (First village). Characters went to an Inn to recover HP/MP... I went to buy ELIXIRS... Still good? Okay... Then I walked out of the village... The airship is GONE and you can no longer control your characters!!! They will continue to walk out into the sea, before going into the mountains and disappearing. You will then be transported to a scene with a ship that no longer exists nor the characters on it! You will be a ghost, floating around the scene for eternity. Restarting and re-loading or doing anything else, wont help... So I had to redo the entire game. So here is what you do: before night fall (when it tells you can go anywhere by aircraft), go explore the ice and/or fire cave for money... Be careful, as some enemies hit really hard and are annoying (FIRE SLIMES or Crystal Slimes (forgot the actual name). Anyway, you can get lots of money and then go buy Mega-Elixirs in town where you remember they are being sold (like Belta / you can buy them there at night as well) or Cri... It's a hidden snow town... I am bad with directions, so... It's South of a certain big city. Hah. THEN you can access night time, after fighting bosses and just go to Belta... Go do your thing... By do your thing... I don't recommend visiting other towns or caves, unless you wanna get stuck... At night... And glitch out... Then go to Agaris. WHEN YOU GO TO AGARIS: This might happen: You can get stuck and a cutscene will NEVER appear... Make sure to SAVE BEFORE the castle / NOT right in front of it! It's not there anymore? So you go up there and go back into town... If you get stuck... Just reload your save and try again. It worked for me! But if you save your game STANDING in front of the invisible castle... Uh oh... That said... I had FUN doing lots of things in this game... So I will say THANK YOU very much for the experience. :D :) =) P.S. Of course I may come back some time and replay some more, but... For now... I will journey elsewhere...

First: my real (offline) playtime is just under 2 hours. The 2n of the Trilogy of Time games. The plot: someone from the future wants travels back in time to rule the world. Of course some others (you and your party) try to prevent that and join his trip to the past. So what can I say about this game? The dev should be made Minister for Economic Affairs. Without problem he reused some of the former maps (dungeons, towns)...oh, not that this is a big problem...I mean if you have played some other RPGMaker games you may even know those maps because they are coming with RPGMaker. What else is there...still it is a riddle why someone would try to rule (or save) this world. Because it is an empty world. The few inhabitants don't bother with luxery...a house is just a bed, a stool (sometimes) a table and a small kitchen... Heck, like in the first game there are NPC standing around that don't even have the usual 1 sentence. Fighting is the normal turn based combat. Wait there is something new. I don't know why, but the dev made 2 different menues. One with standard with skills, equipment, items. The other with eehh skills, equipment, items.....AND you can make a selfie read about encounted enemies and most important you must use it to save/load a game. Now can I at last recommend this game? It is slightly more interesting than the prequel.....still, please people just search the store...there are better free RPGMaker games around. Yes, this game is rather cheap...cheap in every possible meaning!!!
