It would be a great game, if not for the homeless.

Recommended: Like mead in winter and therapy in summer—absolutely This game is like building IKEA furniture during a blizzard—with real Norse consequences. You came here for calm city-building. You stayed because wolves ate your lumberjack, your healer froze to death, and your chief blacksmith fell in love with a fisherman and refused to work until the stars aligned. Let me tell you about Astrid the Bone-Harp Maker. She wasn’t part of any tutorial. She just… showed up. One of those random villagers with no stats, weird hobbies, and a smile that somehow said “I’ve buried people.” She was my town’s weird aunt energy. Built a harp out of whale bones, played it at festivals, and once stopped a raid by singing a song so haunting the raiders just… left. She didn’t fight. She didn’t farm. But when people died—frostbite, famine, flying debris from my poorly placed watchtower—she lit a candle and told stories that made grief feel less lonely. Then came The Great Collapse. You know the one—blizzard, no firewood, four raids in two seasons, and someone accidentally sacrificing the village goat. We were down to 8 villagers. Astrid, already sick, left the longhouse one night. Said nothing. Next morning, we found her in the center of town, harp in her lap, frozen fingers on the strings. Around her: firewood, food, healing herbs. She had climbed the hill, raided the storehouse alone, and left her warmth behind so the rest of us could live. My chieftain called her a “low-value villager” in the stats. I called her the heart of the village. I rebuilt. Named the tavern after her. Every festival, I hear the harp in the soundtrack and pretend it’s her. The raids still come. The storms still howl. But Astrid made sure we remembered why we endure. Land of the Vikings isn’t just a city builder. It’s a Norse mood simulator. A place where snow, fire, and humanity wrestle like gods—and sometimes your only currency is memory. Final Verdict: 10/10. Would mismanage winter again, sob over a bone harp, and name my next chieftain “Astrid’s Legacy.” Skål.

Bi noktadan sonra bekleme simulasyonuna dönüyor. 4.5 saat oynamışım daha girer miyim bilmiyorum ama ortalama bir oyun. Fazla çeşitlilik yok gibi.

I do not know what happened. I started this game a couple of weeks ago, and it was enjoyable. However, I started it again today, and it looks completely different. Something is broken, assignments do not work, and no buildings can be finished. Workers stand still most of time.

Unfortunately the devs didn’t address a number of bugs brought up during Early Access and it appears to now be a dead game. Meaning no apparent updates and Devs have vanished from Discord, as have most of the people on there. I would only recommend this game if it is on DEEP, 90% or higher, discount. It isn’t worth the non sale price with all of the bugs and just clunky game play. Edit: Wanted to add a few bugs ive run into since Early Access that have not been addessed 1: If you click on any button anywhere in the game is changes how the keyboard behaves. Sometimes it disables movement around the map with Arrow Keys, other times it changes the key mapping to repeat whatever button you pressed. You have to click somewhere on the map to get around this, which wouldnt be so horrible if you the button you pressed was to build something and you needed to move a little to where you wanted to build it. 2: Randomly movement around the map with arrows keys will just stop functioning and you have to click around a few times to regain the ability to move 3: If you send a ship out, war or merchant, and for whatever reason you need to re- load a game the game crashes to desktop 4: Spelling and other English language errors all over the place. For example when you go into battle for the first time the tutorial refers to the warriors under your Control as under your Ownership. These are bugs that have all been brought to the attention of the Devs but were never addressed. This could have been a REALLY solid viking city building/raiding game but they just stopped caring it seems.

This game is a buggy mess, don't bother with it. The bugs are so annoying, you need to learn how to tweak it only to make it functionnal. You're always worrying if your townsfolk are bugged.

This could have been a fine game, but ultimately it's too sloppy, with obvious bugs that could have easily been fixed but no-one ever bothered (instead pushing out a DLC that should clearly have been in the main game). This product does not recommend the developers.

This game is all potential and no delivery. It feels unfinished, the same 5 events happen repeatedly with exactly the same 2-3 choices, ending in exactly the same way. For example, one of the events is some villager being accused of stealing from another, and your options are to exile the guy, punish him, or investigate, and these choices rarely have consequences. The gods get pissed and send thunderstorms for no apparent reason; the events seem tied to nothing. Furthermore, every thunderstorm destroys the same buildings. Land of the Vikings is beyond unpolished. It's the framework of a game, not even close to a finished product. It should be free to play.
