Enjoyable game, definitely recommend it for its price tag.
I thoroughly enjoyed the world building, all the searching for clues and interacting with the world. Some puzzles were smart and enjoyed solving most of them. Game finale was memorable but I feel it could be better, give the player more to think about and feel. Story sets you up for an aftermath but never follows through it is cut short. You never see the heroes celebrate afterwards or learn anything about characters referenced. Would appreciate more agency, as the whole story was scripted and I had no real control on its outcome. Characters are colorful and the world is vibrant. Would like to revisit and explore untold stories of it in a future installation with different characters or spin offs in another moment in the history of the world.
My complains:
Most tests were easy (hacking, lifting, lock picking) throughout the game. There was no gradient. I expected really hard hacking at pivotal moments or at game end and I was let down. Easy tests all the way. Never felt I needed special gear. I actually forgot I had it frequently, even though it would help solving various puzzles. They were that easy.
Another issue was that some clues needed to be found to solve later puzzles were in your face while other puzzles were very obscure. I spent nearly two hours searching what I needed to do to progress, as the game was not clear about it, what the puzzle was. I caved in and looked it up in a guide and the puzzle took me half a minute to solve.
Sometimes fights were tedious and broke immersion. For example, in a secure room where I am searching for clues at my leisure, I end my turn and random enemies appear out of nowhere (in a windowless locked room). Because at round end, dice are rolled if enemies will appear. In many parts of the story it makes no sense and breaks immersion. What is worse, I gain no loot from fallen enemies, only exp. They could make it more interesting (dropping clues, ammo/guns or saying something to move the player). Another example, firing guns does nothing to increase alert. Finally what annoyed me was the background at battles. It broke the immersion and was generic, made no sense. Invisible Inc did it better. It would be great if they could implement the isometric heist game style of Invisible with the world and art style of Sunday Gold.
All in all, a good experience. Definitely worth the money. There was love and creativity put into it and hope to see more of it.

Yes, a good game. Stunning art style and visuals. Good writing, decent but not flashy rpg combat that works but is a bit limited in truth. Only gripe is that the end boss is just ridiculous, the challenge of bosses felt about right and then the last hurdle feels like I need to rebuild my teams skills or build as I can't seem to lay a finger on him in his second phase, your getting attached 6 attacks to 3 (2:1) and can't output enough damage, I maxed out tech on my tech character but can't stun or debuff the boss? to even the odds. Shame as I don't think it needed to be that way as the game is nicely story focused. Oh and there are 1 or 2 puzzles that you go in clueless and have to just click and hope. Only a few but irritating, there is a collant system that I had to look up in the end and that kind of pissed me off. solid 7 out of 10 game and good value in a sale if you like noir graphic art rpg games with a really excellent setting.
Edit: I was about to Uninstall and give up on completing the game. I thought 'one last shot' and everything clicked. I guarded when i needed to guard, attacked when I needed to attack. Emp stuns worked, just focus on EMP stun and then Hijack Sunday gold to even the odds a bit and use focus and use every last action point to get an attack in and Bingo, complete. A little gem this I have to say. AAA can get bogged down in their own hype, games like this just scratch an itch over a weekend and leave you satisfied.

Wonderful game! The story is super fun and engaging. I love the turn based fight mechanics and the action point system. The skills for each of the characters is distinct and allows for a good amount of flexibilty to prioritize the skills that you want for that character. The art is stunning and the voice acting is good! Highly recommend this game for people whole enjoy mysteries, ttrpg-esque games, and just generally if you were curious about this game, try it out!
