TLDR: Brilliant game! I don't understand why it isn't more popular. It's unbelievably fun. Sunday Gold can't really defined by a single genre. It's a bit of puzzle, bit of point & click, bit of round-based RPG and it's doing all of that really well. Obviously it's not the best or most detailed RPG of all time, but it doesn't have to be. It's just a well-made, fun game. The gameplay is extremely varied. Mini-games, more complex puzzle solving and RPG fights cycle through in quick succession. The story is creative and (once again I need to mention) fun! The main characters are well acted and lovable in their own special way. The only critique I have is that the fights become a bit too easy towards the end of the game. The final boss fight however, makes up for it completely. Very well balanced fight which was a lot of fun! As you can already tell by my repetition: This game is a lot of [b]fun[/b].

Genuinely one of those games that got me hooked. The story at the end is lack luster but that only goes to show how much I was invested in the characters. I really wish they would make a sequel

I don't usually leave reviews but indie games visibility when the job is done well and in this case, it is ! I didn't know what to expect with this one and it only got my attention due to the turn based combat and price. I got more than what I bargained for, which is rare with games nowadays. In terms of gameplay you get a good mix of : - tactics, with the turn based combat - puzzle and mini games - investigation with point+click elements - customization with characters skills/stats All this following a Guy Ritchie style of humor and story with original Euro style comic book design. I got this game with a huge discount and finished it in 22h, but it is worth it's full price given the effort put in this game. I really hope there is a sequel or another game with similar elements from this team as I really enjoyed it.
