While I like the idea of the game, some of the mechanics and even the aesthetics, then I cannot recommend the game. It was fun for the first 5 hours, but beyond it, it is very repetitive and way too heavily influenced by RNG.

I have been looking for a chill TD game for awhile and this caught my eye. It doesn't disappoint; the gameplay loop is simple, but has the right amount of depth to be really enjoyable. There is enough variety in the different paths, towers, and support blocks to keep your progressing and learning, but not too many where its overwhelming and overly complicated. You also feel like you can get a good grasp on what works best right away, which is nice. I enjoy that you have to balance your economy, placing the path, and towers. Often what is best for one will be detrimental to another, so its all a balancing act. The negative reviews all focus on RNG, but from all of my playthroughs I find you can minimise it if you plan ahead. Save money to get interest. Spend a bunch if your power level drops. Map out where your path needs to go so you can get towers in good spots along it. If a card doesn't match that plan, skip it. The game isn't that challenging if you do that, however I can see how easy it is too run into a brick wall if you just place without thinking. Highly recommend to snag on sale if you want a relaxing, but still strategic TD game with a bit of rougelite progression.

Great concept and really fun until you realise it's completely RNG whether you win or not. Nowhere near enough tower cards and far too many flag and other useless crap cards. Doesn't feel good to lose over and over due to having no tower opportunities, and then to finally win due to lucky cards.
