I have always been a big fan of Freecell. This program offers many variants that range quite a bit in difficulty. The interface is intuitive, making it easy to navigate in the program. It is also easy to access the rules of particular games while playing them. The rules are written in a standard format making them easy to understand. and find particular information on particular games. The rules do use terms known to frequent players of solitaire type games.

Games rules must be found by trial and error. Difficulty swings are very wide. Unfun.

Player for 1634 hours so far. Game is fun. Have an issue with fishing set ups disappearing. Purchased 3 Dlcs that never were downloaded. Very disappointed with customer support or lack of it.

Absolute rubbish! Lacks playability, no hints and no double click to position. My phone app freecell game is much more sofisticated and enjoyable to play than this. I played 9 games within approximately half an hour, got distracted by some family business and 3 or so hours later I uninstalled the game and put in for a refund. No refund because it exceeded 2 ours of SYSTEM time, not play time, play time was only 30 minutes at most. Steam need to fix that, Fair is fair, sometimes you spend more than 2 hours getting some games to work properly, and like I said this game was idle for most of those hours. Not fair to just take the money when your not recording actual game play time, just how long the game has been loaded into memory for.

I played 7 of the game modes so far, they've all been enjoyable. I'm glad the devs put the time in implementing the feature where you double click on a card or stack and it moves in the most efficient way. There are some features that I still would've liked to see added: 1. Back in the day, when I played freecell on Windows xp, there was the option to select a seed for the random shuffle. Completing each seed gave a feeling of progression and also gave the possibility to retry a game, try a different approach. I would very much like having the option to enter a specific seed of a game. 2. Maybe a way to highlight all cards of a certain number or a certain suit would be nice. Sometimes I'm just staring myself blind on all those cards trying to find the ones I need. 3. In the game mode "Double Stalactites", an indication of the stack heights of the foundations would be really nice. It's hard to remember which stack has the most cards and because of the stack limit it's a vital piece of information. Doesn't even need to be a card counter per stack, simply an indication of which stack is heighest at the moment would already be a useful feature. EDIT (2022-06-12): I thought the game mode Bastille to be practically unplayable but it seems I didn't understand the rules enough. I didn't realize you could put a higher numbered card on a lower numbered, stacking them in reverse order of what normal freecell rules dictate. The game is about using this mechanic to free up the right cards in order to progress. You can only move one card at a time so having free 'waiting cells' doesn't help stack movement.
