It's an okay game and story, but that's all it is; just ok I guess. Walk around, solve a few puzzles, etc. There are a few cool setpieces, but overall it didn't make me feel much of anything, and it's priced too high for the runtime. Just watch a playthrough on Youtube to get the same experience.

Good controls and overall very positive feelings about the game. Sound design A+; the music, voice acting and ambient sounds all worked well together and created an amazing atmosphere. Loved the story - I liked the fresh take on the SCP Foundation and its' "inhabitants", made it less black-and-white. Really recommend giving this a shot, if you're a SCP fan or just like an immersive story with fun gameplay mechanics. And a few scares.

This is the kind of gameplay I would have liked a game like Control explored. I can only assume Misfit Village had a similar thought, but were thankfully able to do something about it by making their own game. I'm a big fan of SCP and this game does not disappoint in delivering in on the body horror, quirkiness and outright charm contained in the forum's words, but from its own perspective. It's a game you could easily claim "should have been longer", but is actually just as long as it should be. It switches up gameplay mechanics regularly, charmingly subverts expectations and doesn't overstay it's welcome. I highly recommend. :)

I was fairly hyped for the game, have been for quite a while, played the demo that was briefly available a long time ago. It really doesn't seem like much was added from the demo years ago, which is very disappointing. This game is mostly a hodgepodge of isolated mechanics you use in individual puzzles and then move on to the next mechanic for the next puzzle. It reminds me of 'SCP: Secret Files,' only in secret files, it made sense for you to get one mechanic/story element and then move on to the next because it was isolated files of isolated SCPs. Go Home Annie, is not individual isolated SCPs, it is not isolated stories, it is all one story, one character. Why do we start the game using a camera that reveals hidden past events, and the moment we're out of the house, it has no use? Why is the only SCP that isn't essentially used in any other SCP game the bathtub and we only interact with it for the story and no other dialogue? Why are there a bunch of SCPs in a printing room that you can just read about and none of them do anything other than what we use to progress the story? Why, OH GOD WHY, do we interact with the clockwork machine, and the only thing we can do with it, is change 1 or 2 items the game leaves in the room, and then the story item. The clockwork machine is something that could be an entire game in and of itself and it is used as a glorified vending machine for a quest item. All this is to say, this is an SCP game, that has no real exploration, experimentation, or interaction with any of the SCPs involved, other than to use one at a time as a mechanic for a puzzle and then it is forgotten. When it comes to the story, it was ultimately underwhelming, and didn't really conclude in any meaningful way either. The story leaves off with more questions than were answered, and there weren't many questions in the story to begin with.

This game is a SCP walking simulator that took me just over 4 hours to finish. The game starts off amazing, with a sense of adventure and purpose, an exciting mystery to solve! But... then it eventually goes off the rails into a generic nonsensical mess during the second half of the game. + The game's graphics are beautiful in some sections, especially the outdoors. + There is one long driving sequence that is actually really well made, I would say its the best part of the game. + There are a couple of puzzles near the end of the game that are super original and mind bending, very creative. - The game advertises itself as a horror game, but it is not. The main picture for the game on Steam is a bloody bucket with very creepy bloody arms stretching out of it. However the game is super light on the horror and doesn't really have any gore in the game except for that one scene. - The story is so convoluted that I didn't really invest in any of the characters and I felt no real emotions going through the game. The last half of the game is just one weird nonsensical (story wise) puzzle after another. It all just felt like filler to make the game longer. These puzzles were not connected to the story and were just basic puzzles that we have all seen 100x in other games in this genre. Example: Aiming lasers to rotating mirrors etc... - In order to figure out the story you will probably have to search the forums, the story is not explained fully in the game properly. - The game's ending is abrupt and I didn't enjoy it. - The whole game feels a bit shallow. The developer tries hard with strong emotional music often to bring out a "Grand Experience!!"... but the core game itself is flat and doesn't excel in anything or bring anything new to the table. - The game is priced high for what you get, wait for a deep sale. Again, the game starts off promising, but completely falls apart in the second half. Overall: 6.5 / 10
