Please listen. if you have had crashing issues, i was able to fix mine by changing the download files out of office 365 control. i had those issues and was determined to find out what. i'm not the best at explaining but if you search up "why my game keeps crashing after the character creation" there was a redit thread that explains how to fix it. and after that this game is honestly pretty fun

Superb hunting game, EA as a publisher sucks. Give it a chance, it is old school monster hunter with fresh ideas. MH Wilds used a lot of these ideas.

Game is unplayable. Problem I see a lot of people having. First attempt i got through character creation. The moment I had finished the game crashed. After multiple attempts to get it to work I decided to just start a new game. It crashed when I attempted to save. After that any attempts at new games crashed immediately after the first cinematic. Huge pity too. It looks like a good game, I so wanted to play it. I guess for now I'll keep an eye on it and see if it ever gets fixed. Otherwise No way would i recommend a game that can't work.
Overview
If you can get this game for $10 then go get it. But it is absolutely not worth it full price. The game has crashed multiple times when it feels like it. No idea what causes it. This game will suck up watts at seemingly random times.
Gameplay Feel

Graphics
The graphics overall are pleasent to look at; the environment, small creatures, lootable objects, walkways, lightsing are all well done.
Camera
The camera is a major issue where the transparency works on large solid objects but not grass or foliage. This is less of an issue if you're melee but players will still need to look up to see what the monsters are doing.
Stamina / Movement
Stamina recovers quickly when the weapon is sheathed. Quick stamina regeneration combined with the long slide animations and long slide i-frames is extremely useful for getting away from monsters, go around monsters and to go through attacks. However, stamina regeneration is reduced if the weapon is held. This makes for strange stamina usage for weapons that rely on the stamina to attack. It's not ideal to sheath the weapon all the time as it does have an animation, and poor stamina management leaves the player vulnerable as they cannot dodge without sufficient stamina to do so.
Karakuri / Building Mechanic
The Karakuri system is interesting from a gameplay perspective where it's extremely flexible and allows the player to maneuver around and resolve issues such as monster attacks or monster states. However, there are many times where the Karakuri system has been extremely finicky where Fusion Karakuri are now constructed because the player carries some momentum when letting go of the movement controls. Performing attacks off a Karakuri structure is a commitment. Animations can take 3-4 seconds depending on the attack performed. This can easily lead to taking damage long before the monster has started their attack animation.
Major Crash
This game has randomly hard locked my computer for seemly no reason. Driver test include updating to the latest drivers, and downgraded to the most stable version, I have tested the thermals, power draw and multiple drives including an M.2, SSD and multiple disc drives but it happens anyways.
Power Hungry
The game is also power hungry as it unexpectedly draws power when it feels like, this includes running around exploring, fighting large monsters and standing still in Minato Village.
Overall
I like the idea of what the game has to offer but the flow is completely off. Camera is jank, interactions with Karakuri are fine when it works, but completely detrimental when it doesn't.

Runs horrible on rtx 5090 PC, Stutters very frequently and game is pretty much unplayable in its current state. Really sucks that the devs abandoned this game. It has so much potential.

I'm still mad about what they did for this game. It was incredible, I had so much fun with it, and it could have been way bigger than it actually is, but what can I say except, money. They expected it to be way bigger than it was, even tho it was working pretty well already, but as it was not making enough money, they just gave up. The reviews are currently mixed and they were "bad" for a long time, but it's more about EA and the studio than the game itself. The gameplay was something else, it really was a breath of fresh air for me. when I played this game, I already played a lot of Monster Hunter World and Rise and this kind of game was new to me as they were the first MH I've ever played. If you buy and play it, do not except a Live Service game. Just think of it as a simple singlerplayer/co-op game, and you'll have a blast. Between the different weapons, build you can make and the "Karakuri" system, that makes you able to build walls, traps, turrets ect.. Each player can find a way to play and enjoy the game by making it easier. It took me 80~ hours to complete the game with all achievements, but I played this game with a friend, so if you play it solo, it'll probably take you more time. I think this game is worth its price. But once again, it could have been way bigger if they just tried harder.
