EvoluShip Reviews
In this game with elements of roguelike, RPG and Bullet Hell, you control a ship with the power to absorb enemies and improve itself, but even then it won't be easy, because you'll face the hordes of enemies with a good variety of weapons that come randomly as you pass level.

With an acid and fun humor, this girl will guide you to make your decisions, so for those who like shooting from different sides, you will find a good and cheap entertainment

The game follows the style of Vampire Survivors, but it has its own shine, and with different basic movement mechanics, which already justify a game for those who played it and liked it a lot.
The game is fluid, there are some things to improve like the performance when you start to have a lot of elements on the screen, as well as adjustments to be able to play in full screen (I couldn't use the 1920x1080 resolution), but I'm still following this project that is still in early access phase, because then improvements should come.

It's a VS-like roguelite with some shmup elements added. Fly a ship, fight off other ships, dodge dozens of bullets and lasers.
Can't recommend though. Visuals are ok but dev has an unhealthy fondness for glitching the graphics out (think missingno and general screen tear) which is headache-inducing. One of the power-ups also inverts screen colours to make that worse. And no way to disable that because the game doesn't even have an options menu...
Another aspect is the attempt to add physics and momentum to movement. Firing weapons generates momentum opposite to firing direction, getting hit by enemy projectiles or colliding bounces you off, etc. It's so bad that after la few minutes (when there are a dozen enemies and several dozen bullets on screen) your ship is just bouncing around screen and you've lost all control. And if you dodge the bullets you can pretty much use your weapons as a reverse thruster and just let go of movement keys.
Other than above, game mechanics are ok, nothing exceptional but not bad - move around, shoot, collect xp and powerups, gather currency to get stronger between runs. You can choose ffrom 3 pilots each run but despite being shown different stat bars for the pilots I can't say I've noticed much difference.

I want to like this game, I really do, but there are too many bad design choices here. Maybe it'll get better, but for now just play Void Scrappers. It's far better and more competent at what this game is attempting to accomplish.

Extremely floaty and unresponsive controls, which undermines the whole bullet hell/bullet heaven thing it's trying to go for.

Yikes.
If my controller is connected, it acts as though I'm holding down the "down" key / cycles through menu constantly.
Glitchy graphics are hard to look at. Descriptions of abilities don't help (poor translation?).
Worst though, if you can ignore the standard stuff that comes with a very cheap game (which I'm generally OK with), the enemy projectiles are solid. So you just bounce off them. Within a couple minutes, there's no avoiding and you just ping pong around the screen until you die.

Annoying constant lvl-up screen pops-up each second. Enemies and your own projectiles appears to be permanent and have collision, which makes it feels like you playing pinball hell. It also clutters all the space on and beyond screen and hits performance.

This is a game with promise, however it still needs a lot of polishing and rebalancing.
The first couple runs are relatively fun in that VS style that you know you'll fail, but come back stronger... then I got over a tipping point and became an unstoppable god of destruction.... that never stops leveling up. Not sure if it's perhaps an error in the code that is supposed to raise the experience needed for each level or if it's something else, but I reached a point to where I was spending more time on the level up screen than I was playing the game. Enemy ships died before I could even see what they were and my magnet pull range was so far out that the exp was coming at about the speed of light.
It has become such a mess that it doesn't feel worth playing further, even though I'm on the cusp of a few more achievements. I want to meet the other bosses as well, but can't move for the constant leveling to find the mothership.
Good theory behind the game, but needs far more balancing and error correction to be really able to shine.

bad attempt at mixing space invaders with vampire survivors style gameplay honestly! way too easy to lvl up and get all upgrades after one round! yes it might be cheap as hell but still not worth it in my opinion

I don't feel I want to recommend this game - yet. The momentum and rotation-based movement in this spaceship shmup in bullet heaven salsa is a sound control method, and there's a lot of fun to have rotating around enemy ships' lasers and baiting the invaders to damage each other. The combo system encourages players to go for risky attacks for maximum rewards and quicker permanent upgrades, and landing on the right combo can net the player tons of progress in a single run. And yet, the game's presentation is janky, with gameplay that feels laggy, confusing and incomplete menus, texts of weapons that don't feel explanatory at all, and in general a very unbalanced difficulty where not only some weapons are infinitely more effective than others, but also the match itself becomes such a barrage of bullets that eventually it's just impossible to move properly, with them pushing the player around like a pinball. It's especially baffling when the player's ship size has increased due to power-ups, but then the movement speed and hitbox are so clunky it's physically imposible to avoid anything. Game's variety is limited, too. So despite the low price, this game is certainly a bit of a weirdly made title and I can't really recommend it in this state, but the core ideas are sound so if the presentation and balancing is fixed it'll certainly be worth your time.
Game has full controller support.
EDIT about 3 months later: A comment by the game's developer made me opt to try the game again, and some of the criticisms still remain: the janky presentation, the limited variety and more. Adding items is a sound idea, and balance does seem to have improved already, alongside with the controls. A good first step, but it needs multiple improvements still.
