LunarLux is a beautiful, colorful, bug-free game with good story and challenging [OUCH, MY FINGERS HURT] battles. It took me 30 hours to leisurely 100% it and get all the achievements (these are not missable). I love that it is a medium-length work of art with meaningful progression that respects your time. I had so much fun spotting all the references to different games and media.
May your Lux Shine Forever Bright!

This is a very cute story focused game. The battles aren't too difficult, the strategies you can come up with for battles are somewhat simple, but complexity is there, and if you're a fan of battlefield turn-based combat, this'll be the game for you.

LunarLux is a nice little action RPG, it wears its influences with pride. It has some growing pains but shows a big promise for any potential future games the developer creates.
It has some areas for improvement in my eyes. Some are small but add up over time, I didn’t experience anything major during my time with the game which is always a lovely thing to see.
As for what I feel could be improved..
- The pause between area transitions honestly feels pointless, it simply delays you being to play for a brief moment and it does slowly add up in time lost.
- Attacks on a single target shouldn’t require the player to select the enemy; it would be better for the overall flow if the game automated that part when there is only one enemy left in a battle.
- A little more tutorialising early on might be worth looking into, I will admit I was a bit confused early on when trying to understand what does what, I understand the little helper NPC’s that have information exist but they don’t cover everything I believe.
Those are some areas I felt could use improvement as I played. As always opinions are opinions : )
LunarLux is just a nice game, It’s not perfect but it clearly shows promise and the potential to grow into a much grander adventure if the developer decides to continue and make a sequel (heck they have a set up ready so clearly there must be some intention)
I recommend it honestly, Not just because it slightly tickles that Megaman Battle Network itch that has forever lived within me with the battle system.

Writing immediately turned me off, it's very simple and cliche. The combat started out interesting, but got tedious super quickly as everything takes forever. You also get rewards based on how well you do in combat, which they've decided just means don't take damage, and that makes everything take even longer because you have limited shields to block attacks and replenishing them takes a turn so you're just sitting there waiting for an opening to attack. I died in a fight because I was zoned out and not paying attention to my HP (my fault), and when I reloaded my save and realised I'd have to do a fight again, I Alt+F4'd because I had nothing compelling me to try again.
