A very good addition to the Neptunia franchise. A game that might as well be part of the mainline Neptunia game that have shifted genre from a turn-based positioning RPG to an ARPG with a heavy focus on switching between different party members to chain attacks and deal damages.
The story is interesting for a Neptunia game. A good attempt at a hit. It is not a home run, but it is not a foul ball either. Appreciation will have to be given to the fact that they did try.
And the visuals and graphics are probably the best the Neptunia games have seen. But to achieve this, a lot of shortcuts have to be taken. The repeated stages and biome and maps is a testament to that. Having to go through the same cave and forest maps again and again does get grating.

This game can't hide behind the only main positives being the improved visual novel character's animations and graphics looking better.
Neptunia games have always been known as a comedy, this game is not. Idea Factory (the developers), have made so many horror games, that I have no clue why they didn't make this game a comedy. This game is comedic so rarely, that it feels completely out of place whenever Neptune jumps in and says a joke, especially after chapter 8. This game's plot is much harder to follow than any other Neptunia game, due to constant time travel and amnesia plot elements. (Both are cliche and over used types of stories in media.) Combat is very slugish and the game seems to know this by having more plot and visual novel than past Neptunia games. Way less characters to play as than Neptunia VIIR.
