While the other reviews said this is just a walking simulator, knowing that going into it, the best game I can compare this to is an average Telltale Game. Probably, most comparable with The Expanse game. Exploration and finding collectables in the form of emails, video calls, and posters are the extra features. Otherwise, this is an interactive movie. But in a good way. The story is pretty much linear, but at certain times your choices do matter, especially the sudden quick time events. Be ready for those. It was hard to tell what was a cutscene and what was gameplay, but it is still a good game. What brings the rating up for me is the voice acting and the story. If you are looking for a good near future sci-fi story, this might be the game for you. In trying to find all the things in one play through, I have played it for 6 hours. But to get some of the story, finding and collecting all the emails and videos will help fill in some of the story. I also write stories as a hobby, mystery stories to be specific. So, when I game now, I am always invested in the story. So, I have one nitpick towards the end of the game that could have been written a bit better to make more sense, but still could have wound up the same way. Game mechanic wise, is a bit lacking which the Telltale games do a better job of, but the exploration of the map is pretty well done. Being also a 3D modeler, I was very impressed with the assets as well as the character face models. AMD Machines might have the classic white flashes from the graphics (maybe the occasional frame rate drop), the game still ran pretty well... Take this all with the context I was running the game off an external hard drive running through a USB port. (Don't have space on my main drive) All in all, if you are looking for a relatively short game (depending on how much exploring you do can make this go longer or shorter) that has a slow burn of a suspensful mystery to unravel, this is the game for you. I had fun, I was intrigued, and I did not expect the ending. This game might actually be better served as a movie, and a pretty good one at that. If you play the game, you will see why.

This is an amazing story based game. It's story is good and kept me interested until the end. The graphics are great, and its interacting style with the environment is great as well. It did work well on the Steam Deck, but i did have to lower on the graphics to get it to work properly. I wish it was a bit longer, maybe the fallen leaf will make another one one :)

I thought it was good. I liked the story. It's a psychological thriller of a low key, cerebral character that may be too smart and/or fall too short of typical larger than life expectations in video games for most players to appreciate. This is very much a short, story driven experience with very little actual gameplay. There are some puzzles, both the type to proceed and uncover more of the mystery at hand. Graphics are great. Production and art design are great. Voice acting and performances are absolutely stellar.

This was a really great atmospheric suspense thriller on Mars. Felt like the movie SUNSHINE with a hint of DEAD SPACE minus the scary flesh transforming monsters. It's short, but sweet. My only complaint is the speed of the "fast walk", but if you have the patience, it all plays well into the style of the game. Also, be sure to stay until after the credits. Great soundtrack as well.

It's boring game with a boring plot and good graphics. quick time events don't matter even if you fail. All you can do is walk and interact with doors open and close buttons, Read emails, See pictures and objects, Interact computers to see the Pre-rendered cam footage. The game got a point A and you need to walk all the way to point B. I don't recommend buying the game. There's nothing fun about it and there' nothing to take away. Art Team did a good job. But it got nothing on game design.

The game was designed in a way that I do not care anymore how the story ends. Walking simulator: not a problem. If you get this game, you get what you asked for; Story: Compelling and immersive, but does not match the game mechanics; Game mechanics: Walk, investigate and QTE you way forward; What made me give up was the steep curve in QTE, where you go from calm QTE combinations that failing doesn't even mater up to a less than 1 sec QTE. Only with this review is hard to grasp the reason at all, so I'm giving a small spoiler:
I have to bring up another game to explain what happens at certain point: RDR2 -> This game really upsets me when Arthur dies and you have to go on with another character. Here in Fort Solis, you get attached to the main character while you explore the "abandoned" building... And then comes the plot twist and you will need to change character... RDR2 almost made me give up at that point, but the game is full of mechanics a lots of stuff to do. Not in FS, since you just "go with the flow" and the main point is investigating and walking and sudden QTE combinations. This kind of design is what made me not care anymore how the story goes on
But I have to say: voice acting is superb! Sadly I would not recommend this...

Good graphics but that's about it. Otherwise it's a weak walking sim with a dull story and lazy programming using QTE's. It has only two endings both of which are dreadfully bad. Do yourself a favour and give this trash pile a miss.

The game feels like a technical demo meant to secure investment. It shows promise, but it is raw. As other pointed out, the graphics is impressive: rich environment, clutter, great ambiance - really helps to set the mood. Interacting with environment feels immersive: when a protagonist browses through data (e-mails/video logs) left by crew members, the camera remains behind the character, you can see them lean in towards the display, and you watch the content of the screen together with them, as you struggle (even if you press zoom) to make out text on the screen. The story is generic, but intriguing enough to keep you invested in it, not in the least due to solid voice acting. The biggest issue with the game is that it simply does not respect your time. Accidentally misclicked on an audio log? You'll just have to listen to the whole thing; movement and camera controls are painfully sluggish. And despite that, the game is still barely 2.5 hours long. It is mostly a walking sim, which isn't bad in itself of course. Few and far between "action" scenes are mostly meant to test how a well a player knows their keyboard. If you have great imagination, like to speculate, and enjoy environmental story telling, then you might like the game.

The story is there, its interesting as you progress getting all the information for whats happening. The game is just so short for it to be the amount it is, even when i got it on sale for 11 bucks. I finished this game in 3 hours and that's with me circling back looking in all the nooks looking for hidden content. im hoping that the next game if they ever do make one is longer and more in depth. if your looking for a quick little story this is for you if your looking for something where your choices matter or any type of combat don't waste your money.

A good game actually. If you like something slow paced, not long and story focused, it's for you.
