Wow. I must say the update turned this into a totally different, more enjoyable game! I was so disappointed upon playing the initial early release - it was easy, boring, and had none of the complexities of the previous games. But the devs really stepped it up and created something fun and challenging! I love the characters and the story line. The game play is worlds better, with more intricacies and complexities that make the game a challenge. And I must say, I LOVE the night cooking/cooking at home! It's a great way to practice the techniques without fault. Props to the devs, this is really something - keep cookin!

Cook Serve Forever is quite different from other entries in the CSD series, being more story-driven and less focused on frantic gameplay, but I adore it all the same. The characters, voice acting, visuals, and music impress me in particular, while the recent gameplay overhaul has made the cooking aspect far more engaging than it was when CSF first entered early access. I'm really looking forward to its future updates!

The recent update improved the gameplay significantly. The old gameplay was grindy and all of the recipes felt the same. The update fixed that issue without turning up the difficulty too much. The developer is clearly trying to go for a less hectic experience than in the mainline CSD games. If you're looking for more CSD then this isn't it, if you're looking for a similar game with a more relaxed pace then that's what this is. Also, ignore my playtime. I left the game open on my computer on accident for like three days while I read a book or something. In its current state I wouldn't expect anyone to get more than a few hours out of this game, if that.
