I was hoping it would have gotten better with the time I gave it to improve, but it appears that my beast of a computer cant handle running this game at low settings because my eyes cant deal with the pain, but the game is so ill optimized that I can barely experience it at 5 frames per screen tear before I abandon all hope.

The game needs a lot of work, yet the dev's has released an expansion.
Dont get me wrong, this is by far the most detailed simulator regarding medical treatment and first aid I've seen.
But please for the love of god fix the bugs and expand on the very limited yet detailed (in depth) repertoire of treatments, it gets repetitive very FAST, and it's jank. Controls feels wierd, poorly optimized etc.
It's most definitely not worth 30€ in its current state at all.

I do really enjoy this game but its need A LOT of work, it has loads of crashes and bugs. patients that are not being treated
by you in the ambulance are forgotten about and "bleed out" (if it were real life) because putting a TQ on is a "wrong life saving measure" (only works if its an arterial bleed) even if the patient is bleeding a lot... don't get me started about the driving, at high speeds one wrong key press will get you sent off the highway. The AI tend to always be "flat in tone" and never have any expression especially on scene where a patient could be having a heart attack or something along those lines. The hospital workers are also like this and say "we take over from here" in a very flat tone.....I wouldn't recommend buying this game at the moment as is needs LOADS more development.

After reading all of the reviews I was sceptical, but this is a game I've wanted to try for a while. For under £14 I am very happy with the experience and I can see, like many others that this has so much potential. Yes, the game could do with some polishing up, but it is great fun and if the developers continue to provide updates it could be incredible.
The amount of medical research they have done to get it to this is impressive and makes for an entirely new gaming experience.
Unfortunately all of the negative reviews will probably damage this game and seal its fate (perhaps some people were expecting GTA5 quality), but I'll be playing and sticking around as it's a good game! To be honest I would still be happy if I paid the full price for it, but on sale this is great value.

I thought this game would let you do more care. I am a paramedic irl and thought this was a paramedic simulator not a driving sim, it fails as a driving sim as well as roads are terrible not in the condition sense more like random invisible holes or walls that cause your ambulance to crash or stop and the fact that just driving on them causes your wheels to fuse into the ground on a regular basis. The care provided is okay not super accurate but not egregious. Though it fail in the inability to call for additional ambulance in cases with multiple patients or at least to effective triage. I was hoping you would be in the back doing patient care instead of being forced to drive the entire time and get told to just drive. Maybe you do if you grind for a long time but i highly doubt that. Overall I give this a 2/10 for terrible driving and unrealistic dispatching and scene management with inability to do pt care.

Review:
Ambulance Life: A Paramedic Simulator is a game with a lot of potential, but it still needs a fair amount of work to reach the level it’s aiming for.
I've put over 37 hours into the game, and while I’ve enjoyed parts of it, there are a few areas that really need improvement:
The driving system is clunky and could use a full overhaul. Adding interior camera views would greatly improve immersion.
Dialogue with patients and call variety becomes repetitive after a while.
The injury graphics are well done, and I like the direction they’ve taken with medications and conditions, but those systems could go deeper.
I’d love to see more realism in procedures—like being able to attach monitors to patients outside the ambulance, or having better interaction mechanics when treating someone.
Right now, it's an okay light simulator, but it’s not something I’d call polished or fully immersive yet. If the developers keep updating it and focus on improving the gameplay loop, realism, and variety, this could become a great simulator.
For now, I recommend it—but with reservations. Worth picking up if you're interested in the concept, just know it still needs some love.

This is not a simulator. It is a game and quite a bad one. Half of the gameplay is driving which isn't really fun. The other half is "treatment" which is basically measureing vitals, giving oxygen, applying bandages (in the beginning not even burn bandages for burns, because you haven't learned the diagnosis burns yet) and sometimes inject medicine where even saline comes with an injection needle. Oh and sometimes you may apply tourniquets or a neck brace to the patient beforehand. And one last thing: Entering a diagnosis, where you mostly click on the button with the highest points, so mostly no brain needed there as well.

I was so excited to play this game and ended up purchasing it in March. I have not even gotten a chance to play this game due to the crashes and bugs in this game. It seems like everyone is having problems and the game developers have officially given up. There has not been any updates in 2 months. Do not buy this game or support the developers. I wish I would have requested a refund within the two week time span. Unfortunately this is about to be uninstalled from my library. Again, DO NOT BUY.
