I played all the developer's previous games which are pleasantly very short. Although all of them are connected you don't have to play them to enjoy this one. The Safe Place is the dev's best work, beautiful painted backgrounds and generous on the art department. The story and setting are grounded and the main character is very sympathetic. The puzzles are mostly MacGyver style solutions to problems with some variety sprinkled here and there to unlock other key items, I enjoyed them. In some cases you have to trigger a conversation for the game to allow you to try something you already did. Manual saving is not supported so make sure to progress or finish the chapter. As far as I'm aware, it's unique in its combination of genre and setting in the realist style.
Overall a solid recommendation if you are a classic P&C adventure fan.
