This game could have been so much better then it is. it plays well and you get into action very quickly. but every other aspect of this game is severely lacking. it plays like No Mercy on Nintendo 64 which is a good thing because it feels like that but there's all these little extra things you can do which is cool but the rest of the game is subpar. The Roster is small. The Entrances are super short. it's kind of neat that you can hit buttons and control Pyro and Smoke and Sparks but the entrances are so short that it barely even matters that this feature exists. This game is almost a direct Copy of a well loved wrestling game but the choices made in the game are baffling. this game would have been acceptable on the Nintendo 64 because of the limitations of that system but with so much more that can be done now it just seems low effort. the entrances are maybe 30 seconds long and the Matches are over very quickly. on Normal difficulty if you know the controls you can finish a match in under 3 minutes that's doing moves and taking time to taunt and get your Signature Move using it and taunting again to get and use your Finisher. Beyond that there's not much actual Content here. I bought the version of the game that came with all the DLC when it was on sale and there's not that many match types to play there's a CAW that is pretty bare bones and a Career mode. they took the time to put a few mini games into the game which really feel out of place in a wrestling game. this game was supposed to compete with what WWE games are offering and it fails to do that. it is fun to play so I don't regret my purchase but I would say that you shouldn't pay full price for this game.

Very cheap game the moves are atrocious the physics are awful too there's no entrances like there are on WWE titles just some short song and lame dance. The roster is also extremely LAME whoever thought that Chris Jericho was obese was DEAD WRONG!!!! Just stick with 2k wrestling titles because this one right here belongs in a dumpster somewhere.

I had this game originally on my PS5 and it was a decent playthrough the first two or three times. I stopped playing my PS5 and I’m damn near a #SteamBae now so I bought this again as it was on sale and I wanted a wrestling game not named WWE or through an emulator. This game is not good. It’s very… bare boned. The gameplay is solid. It’s fun and if you’re new to wrestling games, the pick up and play factor is there and there is a lot of things you can do that remind you of the older wrestling games on the N64 (No Mercy, in particular) But that leads to my next point… if I wanted to play No Mercy in the 2020s, I’d use an emulator and play it. To see this graphic style and look in 2023 and beyond (2024 in my case) is not necessary. You can be an arcade style game with a touch of realistic graphics now. WWE did a great job with the recent 2K games. There was no need for that now. And with the capabilities of new consoles now, to produce a game like this is bad. Don’t even get me started on the poor create a superstar as well as the lack of match types and the poor roster (they have superstar themes in the game, but not the actual superstars? Make it make sense). Then the “Season Pass”? Then the re-release of the game with all the seas… man. If someone from THQ/AEW sees this, if you are going to make a sequel, PLEASE do better. There is a long list of things that should be done better and I’m hoping you read through the reviews to see it. But this game is NOT it. AT ALL.

Get 2k24, Wrestling Empire, Fire Pro Wrestling, literally anything else. Wrestling Empires randomly generated feuds in career more is more enjoyable than this. You win the belt in your very first match and literally never defend it. But boy, you sure have time to learn food facts. Ive also never played a wrestling game without entrances before.

There are more minigames than faces to choose for create-a-characters. Not sure how the devs could have miscalculated what people want in a wrestling game so badly.

This game glows radiantly with the vibes of old school wrestling games. Back to the early days of THQ and YUKE'S. It emphasize more to the simplistic gameplay rather than fancy graphics, cool entrances or complex moves to pull. None of that. Still... This is fun to play and so much more easier to comprehend than other wrestling games. Perfect for beginners. With famous wrestlers on their roster and much more brutal matches with varieties of good old stuff to choose. What made it stands out the most, there are things only in this game that you won't find it in any wrestling games. Well, so far. But I'm sure the other 'rivals' will (eventually) copy one or two, even some of them for the future release of their own games. No, not a copycat. Just using old ideas and shaping them to a better one. Just like Nintendo did with their DS and other gaming companies then making it better with their own versions gradually, ...and the rest is known history. Or should we say, public secrecy? Open secret? Call it whatever you wish, because I'm quite sure you know what I mean. :3 AEW Fight Forever may not be interesting to most new players, but enjoyable to veterans of wrestling games or for gamers who prefers the gameplay more rather than anything else. This is the kind of game that even a non gamer can just grab the controller and enjoy together. No fuzz no muss. X3 And the MTX. Yes, we all know that is how devs earn their income nowadays, but it's optional. If you have plenty of time on your hands, get ready to grinding your days away collecting in-game currency to buy more wrestlers etc. I find this one the most fun to play together with non gamer buddies. Easier to do any moves and the matches are so quick. Perfect for party games or just hangout together on the couch with friends. My only wish is perhaps someday YUKE'S and THQ will be able to release their best hits retro wrestling games. Like Smackdown vs Raw 2007 (...or heck, all of the series from it), WWF No Mercy on 64 (yes, WWF changed to WWE since May 6th 2002), Rumble Roses and more to Steam. Of course with updated graphics but still maintain its retro gameplay just like this one. Please? Well, one can only hope. Thank you, YUKE'S, All Elite Wrestling, LLC and THQ Nordic. b(^_^)d
