Really disappointing, very janky, stuttering despite my system being fine to play. Added so much extra systems with no easy tutorials, only vids that stuttered to load. Loved all the other titles so to this was a massive let down.

This game is OK. I've played through the campaign as both sides on both easy and medium levels of difficulty. It posed interesting challenges on figuring out how to defeat the AI enemy strategically. I have no doubt that it was originally going to be a lot more in-depth and subtle, but it is still perfectly playable as a grand strategy game. I have many hours on the other games from this developer and had been looking forward to this. Yes, it's a shame it isn't going to get better as it had a chance of being a fantastic addition to things like Total War. If you like their previous games, I say go for it!

One of the best games ever made in the genre. Rare to see a US Revolutionary War game, even rarer when it has this depth both in mini map, battles, and economic/political management. Its a masterpiece. According to others its abandoned and full of bugs/defects, typical of Steam
Dear Steam, in your infinite wisdom, by now you should have found a way to punish bad actors in the game dev community. There should be a "holdback" amount for unfinished games and titles that are above $X. I mean there is a thousand ways to skin this, continuing to allow gamers to get burned like this liquidates the entire platform and PC gaming in general. In fact, after 28 years of Steam, ive pretty much had enough, and thats why new market entrants will eventually displace you.

Almost didnt get this because of the negative review bomb the game has, but i decided to send it, I absolutely disagree with most negative reviews. if you played and enjoyed his civil war games you will love this. a lot of comments are talking about how hard it is, Im playing it on normal and I have not lost a battle yet to the point it feels too easy. yes the managing is difficult because there is so much to do, but when did that become a bad thing. you just have to pause the game and spend time reading and looking into it. this game has everything Total war is missing and its a shame it got horrible reviews from people who wanted a copy and pasted empire total war.

Enjoyable game in which there is a lot to do and will keep you entertained. However, if you are the sort of gamer who wants a finished product this is not for you. There is a list of defects as long as my arm and general design flaws that at points made me want to pull my hair out when learning the game. However, I am glad I have persevered as I am enjoying it. I hope they put some serious effort in to bug fixing though.

I wish this game was like Ultimate Civil War General. This was the entire reason I purchased this game. There are aspects of it I enjoy, however there is way too much going on and little details that you may miss that impact this game. It is too much for the casual gamer to really enjoy how great it is.

The game is fun, and relatively enjoyable if a fan of the historical period.
However, it is now abandonware. Glitches and bugs persist, and the amount of micromanaging required is more than any other game I've seen.
I was hoping for UG Civil War but in the American Revolution, but got something that's just frustrating shallow in parts, and far too deep in others.
Plus the game is very overpriced, especially given that it is now abandoned in its current state. Purchase on sale, or avoid.
