The game lacks depth.
It is a clearly passionate attempt to replicate old classics like Final Fight 3 (SNES), but it is too simple, and too short.
I'm not sure if I should recommend this, maybe if you get it at a really really cheap discount.
My 2 cents to the devs:
1. Create more combo variations and a flashy ultimate move.
- Currently, the super move is too simple and doesn't feel particularly rewarding. It is just a normal move like any other. No special VFX, no big damage.
For instance, in Final Fight 3 you must fill the Super bar and press a specific key sequence for each character (e.g.: Guy must grapple + hadouken A; Lucia must down, down, forward A...), that brings asymetric gameplay and skill-based inputs to the game. Also the Ultimate is extra flashy with whole screen lighting fx, which feels extra rewarding.
- A simple combo-based system would also help, kinda like in fighting games but not too complicated. It should at least allow some variations so the movements are a bit versatile and don't feel too repetitive.
2. Make the game longer.
It ends too soon. When you're finally starting to feel the game, it is over.
Fixing this is hard work, since it is all data and level design, it is pure content. Some alternatives are:
- More stages
- Alternate paths, secret walls
- Forked paths cause consequences to the story, multiple endings
I understand this is additional work, but it doesn't need to be perfect or going too far to severely improve this game. 20% of the work will lead to 80% of the results, and then this game won't feel bland anymore.
Right now, the game leaves a taste of unfinished project.

great love letter to classic beat em ups while also doing it's own thing and actually emulating the arcade "feel"
unlike some other "beat em ups" from the modern era

An absolute hidden gem!
Trust me, in few years everyone will refer to this as a cult classic.
Gameplay it's just stellar (to learn how to juggle enemies is the key to the fun), the mechanics are simple but really deep (like all good classic games), the graphic is well done (it resembles a very well made NeoGeo game with a gentle touch of an Amiga one) and the soundtrack is just one of the best ever (I listen to it at the gym). The only issue is the lack of contents due to the low budget. The game has only 6 stages and three playable characters. But due to its high replayability and low price, this is not a big issue.

A truly fantastic beat-em-up. Great move set, not too long, and no hand holding. I think that Claire is probably the easiest character to play with, as she is fast, and its pretty easy to air juggle enemies.

A real successor to Final Fight. Real fun and packs a punch. This game doesn't get the praise it deserves.
