TL;DR While I enjoy the mechanics of the game, the level design, and the boss fights, the story doesn't really hit for me.
I feel like it tries to tackle some of the staple soulslike topics such as purpose in a decaying world, but falls flat on both the topics it lifts from its inspirations as well as the overarching message the game seems to convey itself. As a game, its a decent one that harkens back to late PS2, early PS3 titles as far as feel and design. As a critique of capitalism, unless the joke is that those who tend to criticize capitalism resort to violence without thinking about the alternative they would like to replace it with, it could use some work. If that is the punchline/theme for the game, its interesting to put in your game about a polluted ocean, but not well executed. There are ways this story could have gone i would have been on board with, or at least could respect if written with finesse, but what they set out for was a little bit more than they could chew.
Still had a great deal of fun with this game, will play through again for the NG+ content at a later date.

Its really really good, combat feels pretty clean and the switching shell mechanics keep things interesting but with insurance you can force a build you like so your gear is not too random like BotW. Though its listed as soulslike (and has a ton of references to them) I didnt find it at the same level of difficulty and the lack of stamina does sort of lean away from that genre, which is a good thing! This game really scratches that old school PS2 era action adventure game thats sort of hard to find in modern gaming.
I will say the studio with this game and especially going under really hate capitalism which props is a good take to have. Looking forward to whatever the studio puts out next.

Honestly under rated game imo. This was my first soulslike and I've heard from a lot of veteran soulslike players this is a solid rec for people just getting into the genre while still being fun for people who are used to it. Fun combat, banger soundtrack, interesting world building, great story, good accessiblity options and the main character has one of my favorite character arcs. While not completely flawless definitely worth your time and the price your paying for it.

Good souls-like game. That being said, don't be afraid to use the Gun if you get tired of playing normally and just want to cruise. You don't get penalized for doing so. I really appreciate the game allowing you to choose the easy path.

great wee game! It was a bit hard for me at first but there are lots of settings you can change. Once I levelled up a few times and unlocked some abilities it wasn't that hard. Very funny game. The only downside is the platforming is a little janky, but nothing irredeemable.

Really fun take on a Soulslike with some Metroidvania vibes. The shell system is unique—each one gives you different powers and boosts. The story’s funny but also kind of deep, with a clever message about how we’re trashing the planet. Surprisingly thoughtful for a game about a crab in a soda can.
