An absolute blast. Really recaptures for me what Pokemon did as a kid. The missing art assets for a lot of the beasties is a real bummer, but the core of the game is excellent. If you love creature collectors and turn-based combat, this is a must buy. Hopefully closer to 1.0 this gets some good marketing and really takes off.

Been playing this game since the first playtest and let me say, it's 100% worth the price.
The devs are extremely friendly and quick to balance any issues or fix any bugs. The playerbase is truly wonderful and welcoming.
As for the game itself: the gameplay is addicting, the beasties are wonderful to look at and listen to (truly, wonderful designs all the way), and the story mode is full of wonderful characters that have captured my heart. (Not to mention the soundtrack and region designs are just awesome.)
I 100% understand waiting till it's out of EA, some people just prefer that, but if you're wondering if you should get Beastieball, the answer is a hard YES!

Brilliant Creature Collector. Incredibly well executed and unique combat system with a humongous chasm of depth to explore and enjoy. Jam-packed with character, energy and style that gives Beastieball it's own flavour and feel. Full of quality of life features, massive improvements on the weaknesses and time-wasting mechanics of other games in the genre and a breadth of helpful accessibility options.
The care and effort that's been put into Beastieball cannot be overstated. This is a true modern gem of a game that I'm excited to follow as they finish development.
If this game wasn't already sold to you it's another great example of Early Access done right. The "game" is basically finished. All the beasties are available, the story is functionally finished, the combat mechanics, navigation and overall systems are stable and reliable. The primary aspect of Early Access with this game is the visuals and side content. The entire base game is there and finished it's entirely the wonderful sauce and outer flavour that is still being cooked and perfected in this early access state.
I'd highly recommend this game for anyone interested in creature collectors, exciting and deep turn based combat systems, fans of teambuilding and unique theorycrafting and synergy and games that ooze style with deep attention and care for the fine details.

This game slaps.
I haven't wanted to play an Early Access game for a VERY long time. The demo really won me over and after hearing that the main story is content complete, I decided to give it a go. I'm so glad that I did. I particularly like the team building element, trying to juggle the various beasties, traits, and skills to form a strong and cohesive team. I couldn't get enough.
Some brief highlights:
* The volleyball matches are tactically engaging and strategically nuanced.
* It has a world filled with secrets and shortcuts that is fun to explore.
* It delightfully makes fun of all the worst parts of capitalism.
* It has such a fun cast of characters. Just about every interaction with Sports King had me cackling.
* It's also very inclusive, for those of you who are in need of a little love and consideration.
The main things that are still works in progress are the finalized art and animations for the various beasties (some few still have placeholder art, and most are not animated yet), a couple of side-area map regions around the world, and roughly half of the friendly NPC story events (which are all opt-in side stories to develop out the cast further). Apparently there are plans on localization already in the works as well, so I hope that helps the game explode in popularity across multiple regions of the world once it reaches full release. It deserves it.
Seriously, the game is baller. Try out the demo some time.

Fantastic creature collector game. Story is good, music is great, lots to explore and discover, and most importantly the gameplay is a breath of fresh air. "Monsters play volleyball" didn't convince me at first but it manages to be innovative, intuitive, and deep. There are some post game challenges that are fun and there's a nice PvP scene if that's your thing.
The only major thing that Early Access means for this game is not all of the beasties have their art and animations finished. If this is a big deal then I would suggest waiting until the full release.
