Honestly its not a bad game its just not for me. I was hoping since I never played / bought "Pacman and the Ghostly Adventures" on steam when it came out it would be somewhat similar but in my opinion its not. Played for about 10 minutes and got bored.

It's a very decent remake and I hope Namco could do the same with Pac-Man World 2 and 3 I liked being able to eat the ghosts, swim underwater and I tried unlocking all achievements this game is a blast and the reason I play Pac-Man

I've always been more of a PAC-MAN WORLD 2 fan as that was my childhood growing up on the Playstation 2 console. That being said, I never got to experience the prequel being PAC-MAN WORLD so when this got title got announced, I was super excited to give the original a try and bottom line I was not disappointed. Since this is a remake, I don't have much of a say when discussing whether or not it is most faithful since I never played the OG, I'll leave that up to discussion in the comments. Anyways here's my assessment of the game.
Pros:
+ Stages feel so full of life thanks to the lighting and remodeling using newer technology compared to the original
+ Pac-Man is mechanically solid (jumping, butt-bounce, rev-roll, and pac-dot shot, etc). All his moves function perfectly, his jump always felt floaty, even coming from PAC-MAN WORLD 2, if you're not familiar with it, the feeling will click with you after excessive repetition trust me
+ Collectibles and mazes were abundant, really emphasizes the exploration part of a 3D platformer as well as making it unique to PAC-MAN and his world.
Cons:
- Drop shadow needs to be more visible, almost 90% of the time, I would miss the platform due to the lack of a shadow guiding me where I'd land
- Too many hand holding moments especially during the early stages of the game, part of the challenge is letting players figure out how to control PAC-MAN, but these hints are a bit too excessive sometimes a bit too repetitive to the point it gets annoying (You'll see what I mean once you play it)
Overall, this is classic 3D Platformer brought to a newer generation of gaming platforms. It provides nostalgia to players of the original and a new experience to those who missed out like me. I highly recommend it preferably once on sale.

I loved this game as a kid and was super excited to play it again. For the most part I've been enjoying the game and nostalgia i habe for it. One issue I'm having is the rev-ramp physics are seemingly random at times /:

Just like the good ol' days. PS1 for life. Has been polished to look good in the modern classics category.

A perfect example of what a remake should be. It refines the mechanics and presentation of the PS1 classic while maintaining its identity and pushing the technical scale of the game to another level. The game itself is very fun, too! It's like Super Mario 3D Land with minor collect-a-thon and Pac-Man elements! A great and chill time!

The best remake ever. I played it with a smile on my face the whole time. The only thing it needed was more difficulty.
I'm really excited for the second part.

Its a great re-texture and update to a solid game from the ps2 era. Use a controller.

An excellent pac man game. Plays just like I remember it did on the playstation 2 system. Only some minor flickering at the beginning movie but there is an option to set a framerate cap which solved that issue.
