Its a decent game. Its not though through very well in regards to the structure or boss design. Its a grinding game mixed with a combo builder system. Combat feels a bit floaty. Its neat but I don't think there is much challenge here. It's all meta progression and even the term "RogueLite" is tenuous here. If you want something absent minded to play, this could be it. You could do much worse but its also easy to find much better.

TURN THE VOLUME DOWN THERE IS WAY TOO MANY (OR INFINITE) SOUND CHANNELS ACTIVE IN THIS GAME AND YOUR EARS WILL EXPLODE WHEN YOU HIT THAT SPICY CRIT. Samurai bringer isn't a bad game, but it is pretty much for a very specific type of person. The game is basically like dynasty warriors gameplay with Noita-style customization of your moveset. It wants you to explore every possible hidden technique you can discover by experimenting. I don't personally find this aspect of the game fun and I wish there was a catalog of techniques and a way to discover ALL of them. But you're likely going to discover at least half through experimenting. There's no good wiki for this game so good luck. As for what I mean by a specific type of person, that person is best described as someone who enjoys extremely post-game borderlands where you basically are trying to find the coolest and most interesting weapons with the parts you want. This is an analog to the gear you find which you build up over time. The RNG is forgiving since you can keep just building up the same parts after you get the modifiers you want. There's not a whole lot of modifiers, though, so you will start this stacking process quickly. I think that the gameplay is too repetitive after the first playthrough to warrant marketing it for this specific type of person. That's a needle in a haystack. I do not think the game is worth 100%ing, because it's unfulfilling all the way through. After beating the game I recommend you google the true ending. I'm checking out metal bringer next. I hope it builds upon this game's idea in a more satisfying way!
