Another bag of potential but an asset flip instead... STEAM really needs to hold developers accountable for these alpha sale games...

This is very much similar to games like Pacify & Devour. I've checked out map 1 & 3 so far and me and my friends had fun with it. The pricing is also pretty good for the amount you can get out of it. All the maps seem pretty different as well unlike other similar games where its the same mechanics just different location/enemies. We played the game on Novice because Normal was insanely hard on the 3rd map but it seems you can't die on Novice. The game needs some work but it's still worth checking out with friends. Village Map: Pros: + Decent amount of objective to complete + Enemies are terrifying and come out of no where + Decent sized map with a lot to explore Cons: - Sometimes there are just too many enemies all at once, it just seemed too much - Final boss got stuck in a house so it was easy to kill - Had huge stutter problems Bible Camp: Pros: + 3 really good enemies, the one in the house was so fast it scared the crap out of us + Good size map for what you have to do + Maybe a bit too simple objective but okay considering the other problems you face + Having a cooldown on the cross is good and challenging + The voice acting is hilarious + The children models look better then the Gollum model from a AAA studio Cons: - The flying enemy never really going away is a pain, i feel like it should be on bursts, once you fight him off he doesn't come back for a bit longer - It seemed really hard to switch to different items like there is a waiting time Map 1 Playthrough & Review: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1839252823 Map 3 Playthrough: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1839248632 Steam Curator Page: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/10995314-Szamer%2527s-Collection/

I think it's a nice game! Sure, the game still is far from being polished yet. But the developers are still actively developing. And if you grab one or two friends this game can be a lot of fun!! I think it's definitely worth it :)

While I've only completed the first mission/map with my horror buddy, there was enough content and tasks todo for a $5 game that had a pretty good ending for the first map. When the second map go released we had a few issues that stopped us from moving forward, so we took a little break. But since than the dev has fixed the issues we were having, so we'll be trying out the second map soon. But from what we already saw it was pretty good

Pretty good for the price. If you're looking for a funny experience with some friends and that for little money, you're right here. The game is a bit buggy and the graphic is just for the experience, but you got a lot of potential, and it needs more content for the ultimate "Holy Purge". You should probably play this, not in single player. Already now it makes a lot of fun, and I'm looking forward to new rituals and content.

Actually i dont understand the mixed reviews, this game is fun to play with friends in bible camp. It runs perfectly on Windows XP.

Refunded this game. It definitely needs a lot more work to be fun. It was 2 hours of frustration trying to get things to work properly across both maps. The house map is extremely repetitive; find a candle, find a message, find another candle, find another message, find a third candle, find a third message. Back and forth, back and forth. Zero variation or randomness at all. No reason to even stay in the exorcism room after delivering the items. Just dull and lackluster all the way around. It was a bit scary for around 5 minutes, then the demon girl was just an annoying roadblock and nothing more. The village map was a mess. Half the time your crucifix wouldn't work, the crosses were bugged and unable to be interacted with a lot of the time, chasing chickens around was more annoying than thrilling, there was such little direction overall, the enemy ghost chasing you would glitch inside a building and be stuck there the rest of the game, werewolves were more of a general nuisance than a scare or actual threat - except when the crucifix decided randomly not to work. Might check back in a year or two and see if anything has improved. Right now, I personally did not find it worth the (albeit low) $5 asking price.

Game seems quite fun, but co-op is busted entirely for my friend. He died and I revived him, after which he could not interact with anything, open inventory, etc. Then, in the following game, opening and closing his inventory made it so he couldn't move at all. Cannot recommend for co-op.

For an Indie game it's okay at best. The concept is good but the gameplay is really repetitive and honestly pretty boring. A lot of backtracking and item gathering really slows the pace of the game down. I'm not sure what the developer was going for here. There's this weird sense of action and horror that doesn't mesh well together. The only enemies you encounter is a grim reaper figure and werewolves. A little more enemy variety would liven things up a little more. (Zombies, demons, ect). Also some more weapons for the priests like holy water, rosaries and maybe some conventional stuff like swords, axes, or guns would be nice to have. I do hope this game gets fine tuned and supported more. Again I like this games concept but it falls short in many areas. I think $5 is asking a little too much for this game. I've played Xbox 360 indie arcade titles more fun than this that were only a dollar. Then again this isn't 2011 anymore and inflation is a thing so I don't blame them for putting up that price.
