I got spooked by the spooky scary game D: I liek it doe x3

brightness is a little dark but overall great game for a new dev :)

To keep this fair and short, Chester is a simple, but somewhat unique twist on a stealth horror game. It's a short game and does not explain much, but it's not hard to figure out. This makes it challenging, yet not rage quit the game. There are a couple of drawbacks to the game, primarily the extreme darkness with an inability to lighten it any. Depending on your monitor, you may not be able to see anything, which makes the final puzzles nearly impossible. After a while, the jumps are gets old and you start to get frustrated. Overall, the mechanics are well made, it's slightly original, short, good for a few scares and decent at the price. If you're not looking for an indepth story, that has some challeng, a few good scares and kill am hour or two, I'd recommend this game. It's definitely a lot of fun and there are multiple endings. I haven't had a chance to get the other one, but basically, it does leave you wanting to get both endings since it is fairly short. Scary game. It burns your CPU if you don't finish it quick enough.

10/10, had never raged so hard over lighting before. Will play it again.

Gameplay was a bit strange and hard to follow. Wouldn't recommend.

I wanna preface by saying I really wanted to enjoy the game, there was a spook factor, the graphics were nice, etc, but there are a few issues. Now, as always, this could just be player error, but I really think the blanket needs a toggle if I basically need to maneuver with it on the entire time and I should at least be able to see through it a tiny bit. Another thing, it seems the monster is glitched as he sees you when you are still with the blanket on from across the room. I'm not sure if his "bump box" if you will is too big or what. Last thing is there is a issue with trying to go upstairs and the only other option is the room he patrols on short loop. I couldn't even take the blanket off long enough to actually get my bearings. I really want to give this another shot so I hope these issues get resolved.

I'm changing this review to recommend. With the recent updates I think this game has improved quite a bit. The ability to restart each section without replaying the game over each time is a great addition and will still allow a challenge to reach the good ending of the game. I also think that it's worth buying just to support the developers who have shown that they are willing to listen to feedback and improve upon their game.
