We love art made about making art
The penultimate level/scene was so so well done; in difficulty and thematics.
GOODBYE WORLD is a beautifully written old school platformer of the cruel reality of making videogames
Yes, it is one of those games. So be prepared to feel stuff, to be talk to as a player. Particularly if is one of your dreams...
I, for one, recommend this game. Even if you don't "feel" the pain of the people that pour a tiny bit of their soul into making them for years on end. It's a fascinating 2h ride made with love ♥
You could always just enjoy them and that's all they ask, is fricking great!

What you make of them or not is for you to figure out.
Just don't throw your life out of a window if things don't work out.
A sweet little game about struggles in finding yourself thru creation of games.
There is also an optional part, which is playing the the video game created by the character.
So, you also like some puzzle platformers, this is a sweet treat.
At first I was skeptical about the platformer, but somewhere midgame I started to enjoy the minigame more than story itself. Some puzzles were extremely satisfactory for me to solve.
Kudos for omage to Mario 1-1

Beautiful game with an easy-to-follow story. However, the mini-games disrupt the flow at times.

A simple and easy going story. Couldn't help but notice how the mini-games became more difficult as the main character struggled more internally. Could just me overthinking, but overall a nice game.

Functioning as a pseudo autobiography of the fictional duo of programmer Fujika Kanii and artist Yoko Kumade, GOODBYE WORLD by Yo Fujii is a short but bittersweet discussion of what it's like to try and work in the often cut-throat world of indie game development. Shown from the perspective of Kanii and her dinged-up Game Boy, the story follows her and Kumade's first meeting in college to their eventual entry into the market. While played input is minimal - outside of the puzzle platformer Blocks the game is functionally a visual novel - the graphics are lovely and have an immense attention to detail while also using a unique form of artifacting to give the graphics a sort of 'real life' look. It's good stuff!
