I usually love games that mix the visual novel style works with tactics style play...However, I cant recommend the game because it is pretty buggy and the story feels pretty underwhelming.
Game-play is generally pretty simple with you being able to get your character up to the "current?" max lvl of 25 before you get to chapter 10 of the game. However that is kinda where the game ends as it crashes and refuses to respond and continue the story, though several months ago it did this at like chapter 7. Progress?
To make things a bit more interesting you get class upgrades at lvl 5 that will help you cement your characters role in the game going forward. What do they do? You have to hop in to find out past the very basic description that you are given.
The game crashes when you return to previous chapters to face the optional challenge areas, gotta grind that XP, and there is no load function, you have to log out of the game to access your save files.
The story has similar issues where you are introduced to a variety of enemies including the 4 great generals, 2 of whom don't even have Character Art. The story feels like you progress without any real sense of foreboding, leaving you with nothing but questions on why and how things are progressing like they are. Whats-more, the romance mechanic is almost non-existent past your first companion, but once you finish their character quest they don't talk to you again.

So the gameplay is fun, characters are OK. The issue is this game is infested with game breaking bugs. Literally to the point where I cannot continue playing the main story.
