I played through this game following an all endings in one run guide, so I did not go through totally blind. This is one of those kinds of games where you're guaranteed to miss something if you try to play it without some sort of guidance (and will thus have to play through multiple times), so keep that mind if you tend to play games to 100% completion. By FAR the best part about this game is its aesthetic; nearly every single screen in this game is drop-dead gorgeous (with the only exceptions being the cave areas you're only meant to be in for a few minutes at most), and alongside the incredible soundtrack, gave this game one of the highest-feeling production values out of any game in this genre I've played. Every time I thought the game had peaked in its visuals, it threw something new at me and kept me thoroughly engaged, even through the worse segments. While I do have a fair few gripes and complaints with other aspects of the game, the artistic aura that Little Goody Two Shoes exudes is singlehandedly enough for me to give it a recommendation. The writing, while iffy at times, was still quite charming. The writing in this game kind of has two modes, the main story (which takes on a more serious folktale-y/paranoia-y tone) and the relationships Elise develops with the side characters over the course of the game. The gameplay loop of Little Goody Two Shoes literally revolves around maintaining a work/yuri balance and juggling working to survive with lesbian relationships (which are 100% mandatory to achieve the main endings, including the one that leads into Pocket Mirror), so the direction the story takes will generally depend on which of the love interests you choose to focus on as the game goes on. As someone who doesn't really read much romance stuff, the relationships and how they developed were quite cute, but did feel a little shallow (just because there isn't much buildup to an actual romantic relationship, the chemistry is already there from the start for most of it). That's a problem that this whole game kind of falls prey to, just a lack of cohesion in character motivations that becomes more apparent further into the game and dampens the impact of later events and the game's endings. The gameplay elements, both in the day (work/yuri balance) and night (horror) sections, were alright but had a few really annoying elements. This game has a bad habit of requiring you to backtrack through areas multiple times throughout an ingame day, which was fairly annoying, but thankfully partially remedied by a small map size and the aforementioned stunning graphics. The minigames you play when doing work for money also quickly became nuisances as the game went on, especially considering that the game rewards you significantly for reaching high scores and the only way to retry a minigame without paying an ingame fee was by save scumming. Additionally, the registration for when you can interact with save points was strangely bad, combined with several automatic cutscenes that tend to force you past save points and sometimes past multiple ingame time periods, which was extremely annoying as someone who was trying to plan everything in advance. The night segments also suffered from a lot of jank, mostly in terms of enemies being difficult to dodge or dealing unavoidable damage due to not being able to see them coming. None of this was a dealbreaker for me (more annoying than anything), but I could see it being far worse for people not using guides on the more difficult puzzles or having healing items stockpiled for chases. I know a lot of this review is negatives and nitpicks despite its positive recommendation, but that's primarily because I really enjoyed the game and ended up caring a lot about it despite its flaws, similarly to my relationship with Everhood 1. If Little Goody Two Shoes looks interesting to you, I highly suggest getting it; the trailers and screenshots don't do it enough justice.

Fantastic presentation, I bought it on that alone and got what I paid for. Mostly easy / fun to play through except for certain dungeon mechanics that are either poorly explained or poorly designed and make feel angry instead of tense. The story starts strong and ends okay. Outside of certain details, I do feel like the ending is something you can see coming almost as soon as they set up the plot. Which would be fine, but you go in expecting some big climax and instead it's over very quickly because you're supposed to replay those sequences for multiple endings. Feels disappointing, especially because I was looking forward to some crazier visuals to end on.

A very pretty game, simple enough for casual game-play while difficult enough to remain enjoyable. Maybe this is an odd reference to make, but imagine if Barbie & the Diamond Castle (2008) was rated PG-14 for spooks and violence. That is this game.

The art and music are lovely but the saving system is very broken. It makes it hard to play especially when you make a mistake and can't accomplish the route you wanted because you couldn't save despite being given the prompt to. It simply just won't allow you to access the menu to input your save despite clicking on the thing that would let you do so. I went to several save spots in the game as well as progressing through it to find new ones and still got the same result. I assumed the save file I was playing on was just corrupted or something but when I clicked through to open a older one it had sent me back even further in time than when I had saved. It was very frustrating to navigate and I've found others have had similar problems as well. It's just disappointing as it is a fundamental part of the game especially since there are 10 endings and it is a slow burn which makes it hard to play through the entire game in one sitting without saving. I hope they find a fix for it soon.

Absolutely gorgeous game. Presentation-wise, an outstanding piece of art with beautiful art and music. I cannot stress enough how joyful it is to experience every scene, menu, mini-game, cutscene, and everything else. The game is handcrafted with the utmost attention to detail and love for its inspirations, and it shows. If you like the genre, it is a must buy!

it's a very cool game and I like the designs. I also like the overall design of the game, like an old video game style with those type of pixels. I think the idea of this game is creative and I have not seen many ideas like this. I also like the relationships built in this game, how you can make your own choices to things, and how it gives little spoils. For me, the most enjoyable parts are the little games you can do while doing chores.

Not my usual style of game, but I still immensely enjoyed it. IMO the game is carried HEAVILY by its art style and soundtrack. It would still be a good game if either or both aspects were lesser but holy, I love just looking at and listening to this game. The sprite work is great, I wish I had a physical copy of the soundtrack, and it is just an overall vibe. Normally I'm off-put but anime aesthetics and dating aspects, but they aren't especially cringe here. The story is a pretty solid Brothers Grimm sort of fairy tale that left me wondering how things would wrap up. Definitely enjoyed having some level of control of the outcome of the story. Overall, really solid game and pretty great on a sale. There were a few tedious sections I didn't especially enjoy, looking at you Thursday witching hour, but overall, the game was a pleasant surprise and mostly lived up to the e-hype I heard about it.

I really enjoyed this one! First things first, the artstyle is extremely gorgeous and the music is beautiful. They create a truly magical atmosphere. You can tell the developers put a lot of care and detail into every menu, background, cutscene... everything is really well presented. The gameplay is a unique mix of time management sections and RPG Maker-like horror. During the day you'll have to spend each period playing minigames in order to make money, developing your relationship with your love interest or advancing the story. At night you'll have to explore some creepy place while solving puzzles. To be honest a few of these nocturnal sections felt annoying and unfair, making them some of the game's weakest points. The story is nothing mind-blowing but it is enjoyable and charming. Overall, the aesthetics, the story, the atmosphere... it all makes you feel like you are playing through a classic dark fairy tale, which is what I liked the most about Little Goody Two Shoes.
Beautiful, yes. But not kind.
It’s easy to get caught up in how gorgeous this game is. The palette alone could ruin you: sunset pastels, soft shadows, lace and gold and candlelight. It looks like a dream. That’s part of the point. It plays like a fairytale at first. Ribbons, rituals, decisions dressed up like invitations. But something quieter lives beneath all that charm. Something that doesn’t raise its voice. Something that waits for you to want more. You’ll think it’s about desire. About power. Maybe shame. Maybe even freedom. And maybe it is. But somewhere along the way, another question slips in. A better one. One you only recognize once it’s already answered for you. I’ve only seen two endings. Maybe there’s more to understand. But what I’ve seen stays with me. This isn’t a game about control. It’s about what you lean into, what you ignore, and how long you can convince yourself that wanting more won’t cost you anything. It doesn’t stop you. It doesn’t warn you. It just lets you keep going... and watches. What it does do—gently, deliberately—is remind you: Not everything you’re given is meant to be replaced. Not every prize is worth what it cost to hold. Sometimes, you don’t realize you were holding something precious until your hands are empty. Sometimes, the story lets you keep it... just long enough to believe you could. It’s beautiful. And yes, it knows it. But it’s also something else. Something you don’t really see until you’ve already missed it. 8/10. You’ll understand when you get there.
