Got almost 100 hours into this game going for all the story paths and endings. Not even kidding, one of the best titles I've played in a long time. The vibes are cultivated, the story hits, the pacing is exactly right, and the gameplay itself is just challenging enough to keep it fun, but not so demanding that it becomes a slog. Overall, 15/10, can't recommend it enough. I can promise you that if you like late 80's-early 90's anime, dark fairytale vibes, and quality art direction, you won't be disappointed.

While some parts may get tedious on repeat playthroughs, the experience is very much worth it.

I adore this game immensely- and I haven't even finished it yet (I left it running for a while on accident, hence the playtime lol) It's got fantastic presentation, simple but engaging mechanics and loop, solid writing and compelling characters in a charming world. I can't recommend it enough if this seems even VAGUELY interesting to you. Plus, there's some very charming and pretty, period piece sapphic romance! (no I'm not biased because I'm a lesbian, whatever gave you such a silly idea? lol)

An absolutely charming story based horror game! I thoroughly loved the game visual direction of 90s shoujo style anime with rpg sprites, the dialogue and pacing kept me awake late at nights wanting to see the story through. It is a slower paced game minus the Witching Hours where it gets spicy. To those who have not played this yet, be aware that this is a TRAGIC story if the horror and creepy elements were not enough of a clue. I just finished my first play through for ending #3 and I can't wait to revisit the game to unlock the other endings. My only complaint is that I wish I can skip the dialogue that I have read through after two or three times, I just want to skip it to get going to the next task. Also, the serpent's lair for Friday needs a serious flash warning or have the devs edit that bright white popping on the screen for the lightning flashes. My eyes are still recovering from that night. The mini game during the day, "Kiss the Rat" to me sucks but my timing on an Xbox controller could suck as well. Definitely recommend this game to those who are interested in horror, dating sim, story based games.

I love this game so much. I was looking for magical girl type games and saw a recommendation for LGTS and I'm glad I listened. The art of the game is fantastic, especially the multimedia style scenes. It's got replay value as well, having as many endings as it does. You can tell this game came after Pocket Mirror and the developers really took on a lot of feedback for improvements. I'm so excited to see what else AstralShift comes out with! PS Be prepared to save scum,
and don't miss the mission with the windmill or you'll soft lock your endings.
Good game that nails its aesthetics. My only real complaint is that it clearly wants to be replayed (10 endings) but there's a lot of unskippable dialogue.

Personally, I thought this game was perfect for me. I love the art style and direction, it has a 90s shoujo anime style blended with classic Disney multi-plane. The character design was so detail oriented and cohesive as well. I became addicted to playing everyday so I could keep unlocking new bits of the story. The game-play is also pretty challenging, especially if you're constantly on edge from fear. I love the blend of classic, hyper-feminine dreamy fairytales with horror.

I played it on switch originally but decided to pick it up on Steam too. Having charming life sim elements like making money and needing to manage hunger with a horror/mystery puzzle system is so great. I wish there more games like this!

For all my issues with the game, I will say that it is very, very unique, and that isn't something you see often nowadays. A fairytale, horror, shoujo, lesbian dating sim? Absolute fever dream. But I really wish they did away with the gameplay mechanics entirely and made this just a visual novel instead. The gameplay is beyond boring, it's frustrating too. I was pleased to see others mention janky hitboxes, because I experienced them a lot while playing the game, leading to unnecessary damage taken, and a few deaths too. And that leads on to my other problem with the game, lack of QOL features. There are *lots* of segments in the game that you can't fast forward through. Combine that with the lack of autosave, and it because so damn annoying to slog through portions you've already experienced. For a game with 10 endings, it doesn't lend itself at all to multiple playthroughs. The art and music are stunning, but the gameplay lets LGTS down immensely. I also think this is a game that would lend itself well to being fully voice-acted, but unfortunately that's not the case. Ultimately I was really let down by the game. If they ever patch in a no damage/story only mode, only then would I recommend this.

I absolutely adored LTGS! Just about every frame of this game is just filled with so much love, passion and vision from the devs. LTGS perfectly manages to capture the "Dainty 90s shojo anime" aesthetic and vibe to an almost ridiculous degree (attribution might be incorrect here but it's somewhere along those lines), I was grinning like a dumbass just adoring all the silly little details that the game is covered in. That being said, I also loved the game itself, you can definitely feel the 2010s RPGMaker horror game influences (which makes sense given the dev team's history), while I haven't played too many of them outside the most famous ones, the gameplay still felt like an expansion on the formula in a way I didn't expect, which was a nice surprise. Think more complex game with less of the instakill tedium. I'd wholeheartedly recommend LTGS to anyone who's played/watched/enjoyed RPGMaker horror games, or anyone who even slightly thinks the trailer looks cool/interesting. Also given the phantasmagorical visuals (I learnt that word this week!), this is a must play for Madoka Magica fans. I haven't seen Madoka, but will probably need to check it out now that I've finished this lol. All this glazing DOES come with a caveat though, I can't in good heart give the game a perfect score, even though I really I want to, as there are some issues left in the game. The ones I mainly found annoying were that there's a softlocking bug on the final day of the game, that can completely halt your progress unless you were stagger saving (which I and the devs heavily recommend to make any potential backtracking less of a pain). To prevent this, stock up on food before you reach Saturday, there's a bug that breaks the only shop after you complete a minigame (which you would do to get money, to buy stuff from the shop). So keep that in mind while you play to prevent that annoyance. The second thing is that for a game that has 10 different endings, why in the HELL can you not skip the cinematic credits after the first time? It might be an oversight or something but it really did get on my nerves while grinding all of the endings out. These issues can either be minor annoyances or major headaches depending on how you approached the game, so that would detract from my theoretical scoring of this otherwise extremely charming game. Having said all that, I'm keeping AstralShift on my radar from now on, and I'm most definitely picking up Pocket Mirror at some point
