If you want to dim your screen with a hotkey and your monitor doesn't support DDC, then CareUEyes is the only perfect solution! I almost tested all alternatives but this one is the only one working perfectly. Most of the others doesn't support to dim screen while running a game (probably they don't fully support gpu driver) and only works for desktop. CareUEyes does it job perfectly!
Steam version doesn't require steam client to be running, so you can run .exe directly, which is also a good thing since I run CareUEyes 7x24 and I don't want to run Steam client all time.

the focus mode has slower animation and transition is nit smooth. feels outdated. A smooth movement of focus bar is highly needed! everything else is simply impressive!!

I was using the Windows night filter but my screen brightness was too high when it started to get dark. The several presets are perfect for choosing at any time of the day. Thank you for this simple but indispensable software. Definitely less tired than before, my eyes thank me.
I've been using it for a year now, but now you deserve my money.
