If you enjoy the playstyle of games like Silent Hill and the First few Resident Evil games, this is a good game to check out. Great artstyle and colorful characters.

This is a great game. The music, the atmosphere, and the combat system are all great. Using your third eye to see and hit weak spots is just so satisfying.

Sweet game--fun and charming.
One or two enemy designs I found awkward/unfair, and the puzzle elements are all really straightforward (that is, easy). But the presentation and characters make the whole thing compelling. Hope they make more games!

I absolutely adore this game. It feels nostalgic but also very new and unique. I played with tank controls because I think it enhanced the experience and made me feel like I was playing something that came out ages ago.
The characters, the story, the artwork, the music, the sound design ... everything about this game just feels like it was made for me. I love it so much that I got 3 of the endings so far and intend to get the the 4th ending once new game+ comes out. I can't wait for that!

As everyone else says the art is impressive for such a small team but the writing and characters are just kind of sloppy and bland, the endings are a bit lackluster and the combat is such a snorefest, far too easy and you get way too many resources, more difficulty modes would definitely be a good addition.

i want to preface that this isn't necessarily a bad game, and i could see some people potentially liking it, but i want to caution people who are going into this because they love survival horror. i saw this repeatedly billed as a survival horror game, an amazing homage to silent hill and killer7, etc. and i was very excited, because i love the art style, i love the overt lgbt horniness, and i love survival horror.
but the longer this game went on the more it became apparent it was just a superficial aesthetic skin moreso than anything actually adhering to or developing upon the genre. my favorite parts of survival horror are map exploration, backtracking, puzzle solving, resource management, the tension of avoiding enemies, etc. but the game is painfully easy to solve, navigate, and every single enemy can be taken care of with no issue. all those great things i associate with survival horror felt super watered down and oversimplified. i never felt confused, never wondered how to unlock a door, how to solve a puzzle. there wasn't a single part of this game that i felt even a shred of tension or fear. the gameplay was initially interesting, but doesn't develop at all past the first level. maybe i'd still have enjoyed it if i liked the story, but it's just not for me. the game conducts itself in a pretty silly laidback manner which kind of stifled out the sense of atmosphere i long for in survival horror, and while the concept of the story was interesting, i just found the on-the-nose approach to be boring and lacking in depth. felt like it tried too hard to reach lofty themes that it didn't actually take time to build the characters.
it's a shame cause i really wanted to like this game, and i still think it does a lot of cool things especially in regards to art direction, but i sadly can't recommend it as a survival horror game, nor do i recommend the story

I have completed the game on GOG and repurchased on Steam to support the developers.
Sorry We're Closed is a brilliant game - excellent writing, level design, gameplay, visual style and graphics, and music. The system requirements are most reasonable, the controls are rebindable, and there are some accessibility options (including infinite healing and aim-assist). There are several endings and I have managed to reach 2 of them (some are mutually exclusive, as I understand). There are also some side quests and collectibles, tied closely to the main story. 1 playthrough is around 10 hours.
The genre is survival horror in an uncompromisingly queer British setting created by a small development team (2 people), while the story itself is about love (and not bringing a chainsaw to a shotgun fight). The game is heartwarming, engaging, and focused, and also DRM-, DLC-, and MTX-free. This is exactly the kind of art I want to see and support more.
The only thing I could complain about are very few save slots (3), but Windows Explorer resolves it.

I finally understand the Plight of the average Lesbian
An homage to Resident Evil (dead aim) and old horror titles in all the good ways. It takes some many existing ideas and adds to them with the combat with some new ideas.
