Literally all of you who gave this a negative review what are you on about? You must of played a different game!! Playing on Steam Deck OLED graphics resolution set to 150% and low graphics pre set. Absolutely ZERO issues. Looks gorgeous, even played it at high graphics pre set no problems? So no idea what the hell you are on about plus all those of you saying about all this linking? Took seconds? The guy who said about card details? The hell are you on about? Ultimately all the points those negative reviewers have made are false! This is absolutely sublime and in my opinion the best tennis game I've played and it's on Steam Deck. Feels full and thorough and premium presentation and the feel and gameplay is on point. So what I'd say is ignore the negative reviews and as I did, try it for yourself everyone especially whilst on Steam Sale. No Nadal or Djokovic? Who cares. It has Wimbledon and Federer which as a Brit is all I care about.

Trash. The timing system is just total bullshit. It's neir impossible to get perfect shots, you're always 'too soon' or 'too late' thanks to their garbage timing meter that doesn't work for a single inch. Don't buy this game.

The worst game ever played ! Constant lag in every situation from the menu to the games. in high diff you can't play with anyone. (I have i7 9700 k and 2070 super so I guess it's not my pc the problem considering that any other games run perfectly except this one. If anyone know how to solve pls tell me.

TopSpin 2K25 marks a strong comeback for the tennis simulation genre, delivering a deeply immersive and authentic experience that appeals to both longtime fans and newcomers. Developed by Hangar 13 and published by 2K Games, the game revives a beloved series after more than a decade, offering refined gameplay and a rich variety of features that set it apart from other sports titles. The core of the experience lies in its gameplay mechanics, which emphasize precision and timing over button mashing. Players must master an array of shots—topspin, slice, lob, and drop shot—each requiring careful execution to outmaneuver opponents and dominate rallies. A key innovation in the gameplay is the introduction of the Timing Meter, which challenges players to release shots within a narrow window for optimal performance. This system adds strategic depth and makes each point feel dynamic and rewarding, especially for those who appreciate a more skill-based tennis experience. The combat-like feel of building momentum, anticipating your opponent’s moves, and timing your returns adds intensity and satisfaction to every match. While the learning curve can be steep for casual players, it’s also what sets TopSpin 2K25 apart as a serious tennis simulator. The game offers a wealth of modes that cater to different playstyles. MyCAREER mode lets players create their own MyPLAYER and climb the professional ranks, navigating the ups and downs of a tennis career. Online modes, including World Tour and 2K Tour, provide competitive matchmaking and leaderboard challenges, while Online Exhibition mode supports cross-play for casual matches with friends or random opponents worldwide. This broad selection of options keeps the experience fresh and engaging, whether you prefer solo progression or competitive multiplayer. Visually, TopSpin 2K25 impresses with detailed recreations of 48 tennis venues around the world. From the pristine grass courts of Wimbledon to the rugged clay of Roland-Garros, each environment is thoughtfully designed, complete with realistic wear patterns and court reactions during play. Player animations are fluid and responsive, capturing the athleticism and style of professional tennis, even if some facial animations and crowd details don’t reach the highest photorealistic standards seen in other sports games. Still, the overall presentation feels polished and immersive. Customization is another standout feature. Players can personalize their MyPLAYER’s look extensively, choosing from a wide range of hairstyles, apparel from well-known brands, and even prosthetic options, allowing for a truly unique athlete. Additionally, the inclusion of signature animations for certain pro players adds authenticity to the matches and helps convey the personality of tennis legends on court. There are a few drawbacks to consider. The roster, while featuring 25 iconic players such as Roger Federer and Serena Williams, feels somewhat limited given the absence of stars like Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic. This may disappoint fans hoping for a more comprehensive lineup. Moreover, the depth and complexity of the gameplay, while a strength for enthusiasts, might be intimidating for players used to more arcade-style tennis games, potentially narrowing the audience. Overall, TopSpin 2K25 delivers a compelling and sophisticated tennis simulation that balances realism with accessibility. Its intricate mechanics, diverse game modes, and detailed presentation make it a standout choice for players seeking a deep and authentic tennis experience. Although not perfect, it successfully re-establishes the TopSpin franchise and sets a high bar for future tennis games. Rating: 7/10

BAD POINTS: This game requires a very beefy computer. Otherwise, you're gonna have to turn down your graphics for this game. It is really heavy on the GPU and the lag on every point is exceptionally frustrating and exceptionally detrimental to the gameplay. If there was a warning or a recommendation about heavy lag based on specs before starting the game during setup, I would believe it would be very helpful and greatly improve people's perception of the game. If there was one and I missed it, it is so important that I think it needs to be made absolutely clear and so more of an obvious message should replace the current one. I think titles nowadays focus too much on just the fully-capable systems rather than being flexible and catering to all users, which is usually not good for gameplay, ratings, and accessibility. I do also think there are some absolutely awful moments like losing match quality (or whatever it's called) percent for no reason even after doing nothing wrong. Whatever system it uses, equations, etc. need work. If the opponent misses, why do I have to take the blunt? It makes no sense. Similarly, the training for ground strokes are so difficult because the ones that are directly in the middle are almost impossible. I found myself having to figure out how to cast a spell in order to hit that box...Frustrating because in real life, if you aimed for the middle and timed it correct, chances are, the ball would go where you wanted it to...unless there were subatomic anomalies or wind was Jupiterous. But like how physics test questions assume there's no wind resistance, we're going to assume those things are negligible as well. Doubles also feels very mechanical...there aren't many directions you can put the ball in. I feel like doubles has a lot of potential, but this game doesn't really fulfill that. It's saddening because when you play the game you can tell just how much thought and money went into most of it. GOOD POINTS: There are certainly redeeming factors, however. The logistics: for example, the ranking system, the injury system, as well as other areas like power-ups, graphics, players (including my favorite Carlos), customization, kits...etc. Those facets of the game redeem it just enough for me to want to recommend it to people. It's quite realistic, and although you don't ever hear from your player in-game, it takes you through their experience as a tennis professional decently well. It also doesn't focus on it too much; there is a nice balance of detail and non-detail. Another reason for my recommendation is just because it's a tennis game and tennis games need more budget and feedback from the general public...I'm a little biased because I love the sport and this game is a step in a good direction for games about tennis. However, even after all these years, Wii Sports tennis seems to reign supreme even though it's janky, simplified, and quite unrealistic compared to some of the more modern titles. Overall, I would give this somewhere around a 7.5/10.

very fun game (once you master your strokes). It's not as easy as you may think, if you're used to playing something else (like mario tennis). But, if you're a tennis fan, you'll love this. Also fun on the steamdeck

Lacklustre roster, with graphics that left me wanting. Game-play wasn't too bad but didn't really scratch the itch other previous-gen Top spin games provided. We don't have dedicated servers which (in South Africa) thus always making online games played with unbearable ping. First game to ever be refunded... With all that being said, hopefully this isn't the end for top spin and they come back stronger. Really wishing for a decent tennis game with a sound career mode.
