While there really isn’t a whole lot to ‘Tranquil Cove’ at the moment I can easily see the potential it offers. The only level available to play at the moment is level 1 of the non-story mode (there are many more levels and a story mode yet to come) and the idea is you need to find and collect 5 souls in the form of blue, glowing orbs. But of course, things are not that easy because all you have is a camera for a light and it runs out of batteries fast (I wish there was an option to make it have an infinite battery). What you can see of it is OK and the one playable level is a fair old size. There is real potential here and I do give it the thumbs up given the small sale price I paid, but without that extra content, this game is as good as dead.

Bare bone game even for an early access. The thing chasing you is dumb, I dont know why in the game description it says: ''Terrifying and intelligent enemy AI''. The enemy just spawn out of nowhere close to you and chases you around in an empty forest, that's not smart AI at all. The enemy doesn't hide or anything it just spawn and chase that's it.
The game need a lot of work....a lot !

Where do I begin, this game is one of the most polished and refined initial creations in the VR Horror Genre. Sometimes at night, I dream about Tranquon Cave, and think, why sleep when I could be fighting 'The Spooky Man' (they may have a different name)? This is a legitimate question you will likely end up asking yourself if you choose to purchase Trenquen Cope. However, this should not dissuade you from purchasing the game Trinquol Cuve, because it really is a work of art, you can tell the developers (of which there are a great deal I am told, If I were to find out it is just 2 guys who worked on the project together I would be shocked because the level of effort that has gone into the mechanics of the game is astounding) really put a lot of hard energy and effort into the game over a lengthy period of time. The battery mechanics are out of this world, as they are in the world of Tronquel Cive. I also found that the Temple Run™ references were an interesting choice given the length of the subplot between the terminators cousin and the big spooky scary man with 19 arms, (why didn't he just have 20...? I guess we will find out what happened to arm #20 in the next lore update, I will read the wiki when this update comes along).
This is just the beginning for Tron the cove, personally I have very high hopes, sometimes I write fanfics on the internet detailing my experience with 19 arm spooky big scary 'man', but these go into a post office box that then gets sent directly to the devs, however I've never gotten a rewrite or a review of any of my erotic drafts, so I just assume they are so good that the devs feel there is no need to reply. They also haven't asked me to stop writing them, so this is an additional clue, though I suspect that the post office box where I deposit them is likely being monitored by some super fan who may be intercepting the mail. Can't say for sure. Post office box.
Regardless, Tron 2 the cove 2 is one of my personal favorite games, I don't have the most experience in VR games, but when I do my personal choice is Tron 3 the cover 3. I find this game to be on par with games like Super Hot, but similar to that game this one is just too short. Unlike Superbly Warm however this game is planned to have DLC content (I think? I am not up to date on the latest Trenquen Cave news to be honest) but within a few of those Jet Pack Joyride™ references that were in the second chapters overarching theme. Though I am not sure if I am misinterpreting those details, just because the subtext that was under the second chapters overarching theme regarding Angry Birds™ (The Dark Souls of mobile games).
This game is not at all like Grand Theft Auto 5, which is by far a game. I was slightly disappointed when man spooky scary 19 arm was not introduced with a Grand Auto 5 Theft cutscene style introduction, but in the third arc's subplot regarding the Crossy Road™ cameo. This was OK though, because when they did the introduction to the main character, a (individual, non binary according to the Tiny Wings™ dictionary that you find in the sub arc plot 5 planet namek interlude, to be clear the fake planet namek but it's canon this time), the main character was found to have a good introduction I though as noted even though it was not like a Red Dead Redemption (Zombies mode) introduction.
Personally, I do have a few arguments about this game however, I'd really like to see more development for battery gaming, like I'd like to be able to throw the batteries and pick them up, or light them on fire and use them to fend off 19 arm spooky big scary man. ⧫︎❒︎♋︎■︎❑︎◆︎♓︎●︎ ♍︎□︎❖︎♏︎ Which is wingdings for Trueqon Cέvέ really requires a decent grasp of hand coordination, I am not really sure how one could play this game without hands, because I played it on a budget HTC vive which I stole from my roommate while he was on vacation, (they keep the controllers sticky so I am not able to steal / use them for very long without getting bothered by how sticky the controllers are, I think they use a syrup bath mixed with a glue base, but I am not really sure, it is very sticky though) regardless of the sticky-ness of the controllers I used, I found myself using my hands because I had to use them for the controllers.
If you didn't watch the developer log on the channel, you should, because there are a few things the developer does right, first thing they say at the :30 timestamp is if I liked the devlog, I should check out the last one (I had already watched it, but I watched it again). The developer (we will call him 18 arm spooky scary guy, even though he only has 2 arms) relays that the most challenging part of development was doors, I personally found that the doors were very easy to open, so I am not sure how they had so much difficulty opening them, as the door gaming was pretty straight forward. The fake hand on the door handle as the developer called it was an interesting piece of information, as when I was grabbing the door handles in ήρεμος όρμος I was grabbing my real life door handle and walking into the wall, I don't think this is intended behavior and others might not have the same experience as this.
Final thoughts:
I really would have enjoyed a companion in this game to make witty remarks, much like my favorite tv show on Netflix "Space Force" starring Carrell, with a star studded cast of Noah Emmerich, Alex Sparrow, Diedrich Bader, Chris Gethard (great name Chris keep it up proud of you), the blond woman from Friends, Don Lake, Ben Schwartz, and Owen Daniels as Obie Hanrahan (not to be confused with Peter Ohanrahanan from The Day Today). The perfect companion makes great remarks like "Wow" and "That's cool" and "Stop attacking us spooky scary 19 big arm guy", and this would have really added to the overall immersion of the game. I am also hoping that IGN can get their hands on a copy of this so they can rate it 10/10, much like how I rated John Malkovich's performance in Space Force starring Steven.
Finaler Thoughts:
Though this game does not have a ton of game modes currently, I would hope that they add a battle royale mode soon so I can invite all my friends and we can get sick highlights to put on my vine account.
10/10 would buy

Terrifying VR experience with a ton of potential at a very reasonable price. I can't wait for the upcoming story mode that is planned!

Got it for very cheap and i think i got my moneys worth, i totally expect this to go up in price when it has more content.
Currently there is only 1 map (mid/big size id say) and 1 game mode, basically Slenderman kinda game, you are in a dark forest, you have a camera with night vision that help you see the way, and you have to find 5 orbs.
Id like to have more warning about the bad guy coming to get me, currently i feel it just shows up, and the jumpscare is ok, but id like to feel more "tension" maybe be able to kinda see him far in the distance or something.
The camera battery reloading mechanic is kind of awkward, so that could use some polish.
The graphics look good, and performance was ok on a 1080.
For the price i think its fair, granted there isnt much content yet, but i think it has a ton of potential.
Recommended for anyone that likes some jumpscares and want to support a very EA game with current little content, but a lot planned.

This game has great potential in the future, and for right now the price is good, and the slender man like being is quite scary, I highly recommend if you want to play a quick horror game VR experience.

This game is terrifying! One of the scariest games I have every played in VR! At about 30 min into the game, I have beaten the first classic mode on the Normal difficulty, and almost on Hard, but I'm not sure if I am brave enough to ever take on the Nightmare mode xD
Edit - I have beaten it on hard now and had a friend play it, who thought that playing it may have been the scariest experience of their life XD

The game is very well made for what it is. The AI unpredictable and terrifying, the environment is very well made and immersive, and the sound design is on point. Currently there is only one map and one mode for game play, but that is more than enough to justify the price (there are also 3 difficulties... nightmare being the hardest, and it is a very hard challenge). There appears to be 3 maps, 3 story mode chapters, and 4 classic modes on the way as well, but the price will increase as the game gets expanded, so I would suggest getting it sooner rather than later. The game initially gave me Slender vibes, but the more I played it I realized that it is almost the opposite of slender in terms of game play. You have to frantically look around to see where the enemy is coming from in the dark woods, and making the decision of lowering your night vision camera to run faster (which your night vision camera is the only way to see in the darker areas), or keep looking at the night vision camera and risk getting caught by the enemy because you are moving too slow, makes this game so much deeper in game play than other horror games like it. So rather than trying to not turn around in fear of the enemy killing you, like in slender, you are actually forced to keep looking around and be aware of your surroundings to win. I found this to be a very refreshing take on this style of game. The game is well worth the price and I will be watching it very closely throughout its early access. Looking forward to future updates. Cheers

Ok, I played this game just when it launched, so these are my "first impressions", don't take it as a complete review, and take into consideration that being an early access title, I evaluated it in its crude state.
Note: played on Linux with Valve Index, not Windows.
What is this game about?
I got it blind -- didn't know anything about the game, I just saw the very cheap price and decided to take a chance. It seems to be a short survival horror game, not much unlike Slenderman. It is said it will have a story with three chapters (one map per chapter). Currently there is no story and only one map for you to play on.
What's good
- The map they've made is a good one. A night map in a rural area, with some scattered houses. Good weather environment (rain), well made terrain if a bit primitive. The river waters look like sand, not water. The size of the map is small.
- Your hands are visible and don't penetrate objects. Instead, they behave much like in Half-Life: Alyx and this is a big element for immersion, few games have it. Very noteworthy.
- The configuration options are done via the TV in a bedroom, it's an immersive way to do it.
- The monster is creepy and well made too.
- Environmental sound in general is well made, although minimal because it's a bare environment (e.g. no birds chirping because it's night, and the likes).
Configuration options
- Currently, it seems there is only one option and it's the level of detail. There is no smooth turning option, game uses snap turning.
- You can also select three levels of difficulty when starting.
- There are no comfort options and the only mode of locomotion is smooth locomotion (which is the one I prefer anyways).
- Speed: Your character moves at unnaturally fast speeds, even though it would be adequate for a more arcadey game, in the case of a survival horror it is not immersive, it seems like you're driving sonic around. Or maybe add it as a configuration option.
What can be improved
- More configuration options, specially comfort options.
- More populated/detailed environment.
- More noise/ambients.
- Doors sometimes move in a weird way
- Objects are not interactible. The physical hands are so good that the fact that they can't move anything other than doors is contrastingly bad. There are many half-opened drawers and you can't do anything to them. There are cupboards, fridges, closets, etc. and they are just immobile objects.
- Even the doors you open by clicking on them instead of grabbing and pushing or pulling.
- You can't turn off the camera you're carrying. This does not make sense...
- I think the camera should not be the only way to see in the dark. There should be a flashlight, even if it is also a hidden object to find later. A situation where a person at night would take a camcorder but not a flashlight or any other light is not believable.
- It is clear what is the winning criteria (you have to find the 5 orbs/souls), but not the losing criteria. It's based on time? Being in the same area for too long? Having not evaded the monster? I only saw the monster when I died, not sure if it chases you. And I was stuck at the terrain anyway (near the borders of the river).
Preliminary conclusion
As I said, this is not a finished product, so I won't conclude anything about the game. It might turn out good, it might turn out bad. As it is not, it's a simple search for hidden objects in a small map, at night, without a flashlight.
I also hope the developers plan a multiplayer component, that would make the game much more enticing.
There's no neutral recommendation option, so I am recommending the game for now because I believe the developers have the potential to make something quite fun out of it. I hope they continue working on the game.
