Fun to play, I like the world and vibe of it - just not the caves.
Very few performance issues for me, good updates being made by the dev too.
Game has a TON of potential, which sadly probably won't see the light of day.

I like the unique mechanics and attention to detail. The only thing I dislike is that it could get quite glitchy

I love this game despite the glitches. From the drama with the characters to the combat and creating your farm stead. The dating simulation has won my heart over to the point that i'm literally stalking one of the characters.
( I love me some Zander!! ... even though he hasn't asked me out yet ..haha )
At first the graphics pulled me in, then i got so invested in discovering everything about the game (mini games, housing upgrades, hidden areas, etc) that i forgot all about the issues. So far, I've been playing this game almost every day when i have spare time. ( It gives off Persona vibes you know.. well at least for me. LOL! )
Yes, it still needs a few improvements, but its still one of the best farming sims games i played. I highly recommend new players to play the actual game then the demo, due to the major updates.
To the devs: Thank you for continuing to work on this game! Everyone has a game that is consider a diamond in the rough to them. For me that's Sunnyside. Keep up the good work!
Question: Is Sunnyside based on a real town in japan? If so, then i'm ready to pack my bags and move there. LoL!
Summary
Don't buy this game, not at least until it gets properly improved. At the moment it REALLY should've been labeled an early access game. Here's my overall explanation:
It's performance is terrible
[*]takes up more than half of GPU and CPU resources
[*]Requires you to let it bypass Protected Folders in documents, when no other game I've had on steam requires that . I'm not willing to do that just for a game.
[*]Bugs are currently still being worked out at this point
It overall really feels like an unfinished game product.
However I will say this game concept is amazing and I really did want to play the game, but these performance issues stopped me from doing so. I'm more disappointed than anything and I doubt I'll find a replacement for this type of game, all I can do it refund and hope the game becomes playable in a couple of years.
To the team developing this game PLEASE mark it as "Early Access"—this'll solve a lot of the preconceptions for newcomers and they'll be more willing to keep the game, especially if you plan on continuing development.
Thank you for reading,
Crepe out!

I want so desperately to like this game, as you can see from the hours I've put in. It's just too buggy and unfinished.
It should have come to early access first, instead of abandoning it and move on to make new games. Doing this made it feel like a cash grab.
They added to many partial ideas and didn't flesh out and perfect the basics first. We don't need a card battle system for the mines. This is a personal opinion, but we don't need fighting in a cozy farm sim at all. (Not just a gripe with this game, many newer farm sims have combat but have rarely done it well.)
I played this in demo and was very excited by it, playing the demo week a few times before it released. Then when it did release it was buggy as all get up. Decided today, after not playing for over 6 months, to give it another go as I had looked at all the updates and was hopeful. It was a trudge and still very disappointing.
At least I can say I gave it my all, even if the dev team didn't.

This game is very cute. At first, the two different art styles were a bit jarring but once I got used to it I enjoyed it. The hardest thing about the game (Besides the bug hunt quest) was trying to not rush through the game as quickly as possible. Most farming sims pressure you to rush through the game to get married whereas with Sunnyside just being part of the community is the goal.
The fighting came as a bit of a surprise as I'd only seen the game promoted as a farming sim and fell in love with the gameplay style for the farming part however while a little repetitive the cave fights were a very fun surprise. The game is very replayable and the game’s community makes the game all the more enjoyable. The devs taking the time to listen to what the players want to see for the future of the game is also a massive plus.
While there are a few bugs that crop up occasionally they don’t make the game unplayable, some are incredibly endearing. Nothing quite like riding a bike to speed down a hill at 8AM and being launched 100 miles across the map.
I recommend buying the game even if it isn't on sale but would say to keep in mind that the game has just left early access.
If you’re looking for a charming relaxing farm sims that focus on the community rather than marriage and a small Dev team that actively looks for their players' inputs then this is the game for you.
