I wanted to love this game so badly, but it's barely playable half the due to the lags and bugs. And I feel this game is such a shell. There's little point to doing anything in the game. I feel there is no end goal, which isn't in most farming games, but in most farming game there's still goals and experiences worth continuing to play for. I haven't seen it in this game. I also feel the devs are cold and distant and do not respect the community that plays the game. They seem completely unwilling to hear players out on what does or does not work for the game. Granted I have not personally interacted with the devs. This is my own personal view, but as of right now I absolutely cannot recommend this game to anyone. I tried really hard to like this game, I wanted to like this game.

I've rarely written negative reviews in my entire life, because in most cases, a lot of work and effort goes into the product I'm reviewing. And in most cases, it's open to discussion, especially regarding taste and personal preferences. With this game, the factor that gives it a clear no is not even the game or the story, not the mechanics or the lack of anything, but the fact that I can't play it. The fact that I can't play it isn't due to my PC or my personal incompetence, but rather to the programming and technology. Let's get to the odyssey that, in my opinion, this game didn't survive: Day 1: I install the demo and start the game. The first error occurs – I can't save after the first day. I fire up Google and search for the error. Many people have had this problem; it's related to firewalls and antivirus, so that's clear. I change the settings on my side. The demo still doesn't work. (I should have given up at this point.) Okay, I think to myself, maybe this is a programming error in the demo. It can happen, I've experienced it before in my many years of gaming. What I've seen of the game so far looks good, I think to myself, and buy the game. (My second mistake...) The game downloads, I uninstall the demo (because you’ve learned over the years that demos and full versions can sometimes clash!), and start the game again. Same mistake… (I just should have refunded it at that point…But no…) I think to myself it must be the same authorization error again. So, check again. And yes! My Windows didn't retain the permissions because the demo version had the same name as the full version. Windows doesn't like that and won't be fooled. You can't get in here either. So I open the doors and start the game in admin mode. And it works! I'm pretty happy now because this was my fifth (!!!) attempt to save a game… After the first day… because you can't save in between... (I should have left right then and there…) But yes, at least we managed to get the game to save. Happy gamer in front of the PC, she'll do nothing for the rest of the day but play the game! Day 2: The satisfied and happy gamer returns to her PC after completing her day. She continues playing. Everything runs reasonably well after balancing the graphics settings. The game runs well, she's having fun, discovering all the features, the world, and the NPCs. The gamer receives a bicycle as a gift on day 6. NICE! The gamer starts expanding and redesigning the farm; everything's great. The gamer finally builds her house on day 10. Nice again! And then the gamer wants to go to bed in the game and wakes up, and the quest for the house has been reset, all the previous day's work is gone, and we're standing in an empty meadow. WTF?! What happened? The demo version has 10 days of in game playtime. The 11th day doesn't work. The gamer is stuck in a loop of finishing day 10 and returning to day 10 – DESPITE THE FULL VERSION! The gamer starts Googling for solutions. Apparently, no one else is having this problem. That's not good. (We're also past the refund period. Great...) We dig, we try, we delete the game, we reinstall it, we find no solution, and we turn to the community. Nice people respond, but somehow no one knows anything. The gamer gets the tip to delete the save game and then reinstall it. We try it! It doesn't work… A gamer figures out it could be cloud-related! And yes, it is cloud-related. HA! The solution is simple: disable cloud saving. We try to save, but the next day doesn't load, just like at the beginning of the whole odyssey... Only this time, all permissions have been granted. (WTF?!) Cloud saving is enabled again. The game loads again, but we end up back on day 10. From this point on, the only thing that can be left is the save. Defeated by the technology and programming, the gamer starts a new game. New save, new luck, let's try again. We end up back at an endless loading screen where the first day isn't saved... (Did we have the cloud disabled? Yes, let's try that again! It can't be that the error is recurring just because of the cloud, but okay...) We play again. We don't even get to the village because the loading screen never ends... Three attempts. Three failures…. Which ultimately brings me to this review. And if you think, "F it," that's a long one! That was the SHORT VERSION! Today is day three of this journey, and I'm frustrated and angry because the game worked up to a point. I've had three (!!!) repairs done on the game and performed two (!!!) uninstalls and reinstalls. I've manually deleted all save games. (Because that's not possible in the game anyway! The function is there, but nothing happens.) I expect such bugs in an alpha game. Maybe an early game that doesn't have any patches yet, where a lot of work still needs to be done, etc. But not from a game with 9 (!!!) patches! Save your money and keep looking. This is really just sad, and I'm not even getting my money back...
