A brilliant game. Tight, funny puzzles that don't outstay their welcome and an in game hint system if you really need it. It works great when played with friends and is probably the hardest I've laughed at anything for a long time.

This game, like the previous 2, are absolute gems. Uniquely hilarious, full of charm and character and topped with some brilliant point and click gameplay.

Jumping in without playing the previous titles, some jokes likely flew right over my head. Still, I love how unexpected and memorable it was. Amazing art and music!

This shit is funny as fuck. Basically a point and click adventure game simplified but with it's humor and art style so hyper-realized and so ridiculously specific that it's probably not for everyone. But I'd recommend that you get intoxicated and spend an evening with this goofy goober ass game

75/100 Death of a Reprobate is the third entry in Joe Richardsons "point-and-click renaissance masterpiece" series and combines a beautiful collage art style with a wacky story, filled with dark humor and nonsense, into a delicious package that does not quite reach the heights of its predecessor. Still a solid entry and a great finale.

Death of the Reprobate is the triumphant finale of the Joe Richardson Renaissance Art Point and Click Adventure Trilogy (or JR-RAPaCAT for short). And what a finale it is! In the previous game, Procession to Cavalry, you played a mass murderer trying to kill the Pope for your king. In this adventure, you are that king’s terrible, amoral son. Your papa is on his deathbed and has asked you to commit good deeds to show you deserve your inheritance. The game world is a tiny village, and there really aren’t a lot of options or puzzles compared to Procession to Cavalry. And that’’s a little weird because I actually spent *more* time with Death of the Reprobate despite its world being smaller. While it is *possible* to get stuck, I think it is unlikely you’ll be stuck for long because there are so few variables and there’s an in-world hint system. The result is that Death of the Reprobate rests heavily on its comedy rather than its gameplay or puzzles. This goes so far that one of the puzzles appears to be a purposeful in-joke and the obviousness of some of the puzzles becomes a joke itself in the finale. One of my only complaints is that Procession to Cavalary had the incredibly clever “use sword to skip content” button that allowed you to kill anyone who was slowing your puzzle progress (going so far as to let you speedrun the game in 2 minutes). Death of the Reprobate has nothing similar to that and uses a ton of gating to prevent you from going places. At one point, God shows up to say “you know you’re not supposed to go there yet, so stop clicking on it.” Best of all, Death of the Reprobate concludes with one of the most impressive victory laps I’ve seen for a series, a true farewell that is both hilarious to watch and jaw-dropping at the same time, while keeping enough momentum to crescendo like a tsunami. At a brief run time of 1.5 - 2 hours, Death of the Reprobate is a hilarious and beautiful finale to the JR-RAPaCAT games and well worth your time. Plus, you’ll see lots of tiddies and bizarre renaissance you’ve almost certainly never seen before.
