Great Roguelike with some funny powers&builds
It's my forte of Rogue with a Chinese mythology spin to it that I can appreciate. I can't stand Vampire Survivors because it looks ugly to me even though paranormal stuff also fits my genre of likes. I dislike comparing one game with another but for the sake of similarity I ultimately love NWTL way more.
All of the characters feel different and even the builds feel different when you're using it on another character. They've got their own playstyle that caters to specific builds more or less like Gunfire Reborn just in 2D. I haven't gotten bored of the game yet after 7 hours in and I'm loving all of the characters.
It's going to be one of the games I boot up when I need something light-hearted and a good time. Runs go by fairly quickly(about 10 minutes) and it's a good time on the map getting crotchstamped by about 4,000 teddy bears that want to eat you.
8/10 until my game stops freezing. Only because I get pissed off and want to play even more.
