Updated review: So this was already really cool software, I just had a couple things that kind of stuck out to me, when I reached out to the developer to ask how to change those things they actually updated the software itself to do the things I asked for. that is above and beyond and just amazing in opinion. where as before I would have rated Phoenix Pro Theater 9/10, its an easy 10/10 now. the developer on the other hand gets a 13/10. this is a very straightforward tool and I highly recommend it for anyone who is remotely interested in it. I honestly think it is worth 5 times what its being sold for. A+ Original review posted: Oct 3 @ 11:07am Really cool program, Great value. I had a couple things that kept me from giving it a 10 out of 10. However I addressed my questions with the developer and he got back to me really fast and even offered to add my preferences into an update. that was an 11 out of 10 all the way, especially since the things that I was inquiring about were annoying but not preventing the software from working. I cant wait until the updates are here because I will use this software all the time and would be great for streaming, Go ahead and buy, its worth at least three times what it is going for and after the updates would easily be worth five times the price. if you are reading this and not sure just buy it.

Pretty cool software. Lots of cool things to mess around with, and you can watch some stuff in nice quality.

Well, shortly said, it's pretty decent for the low price. The widescreen support is basically non-existent (with it only scaling up to it, other features are locked in a 1920x1080 resolution, such as the loading screen) and it feels like this was severely optimised for 1920x1080 screens, and someone just forgot to hit the "remove widescreen support" in Unity. It also breaks the angle selection, somehow. (PS: I wish you could turn your camera freely. Such as, with a mouse. That would be a great feature.) But, putting the widescreen issues aside, for the average user who just wants to watch movies, it's definitely great. But the animations are static, there's not a lot of immersion going on, and it's not as "ultimate" or "pro" as the developers claim it to be. It is a fair price tag though, so I will be giving it a recommendation. Maybe.. 7/10 is pretty fair. Great, but not too great. Pretty cool software, though.

Playable in windows10. Almost there but not so quite satisfying. I wish if I could even pay more and this game will be upgraded to get more seat positions. I still use this for relaxation sometimes. Not bad.

Earlier I posted a thumbs down, but today it's working just fine. Who knows. I like it. Would like to see it expand with more features and effects. A fun way to watch your videos.

Me personally I find the lack of software like this sad... There should be more like this program, Alright so this program has been amazing so far but I have some worries, I have 4K movies and when played on the big screen noise appears and makes the overall image look poor.... And seating choices are limited in terms of no option to freely move around the room freely without teleportation and also would be cool to have a option to invite steam friends in-game or make it so the NPCs will move or change seats each restart and also more realistic options like emergency stops or even emergency doors being added, Projector room access would be cool as well, That's all for now but I do see great potential in this software and I love your software!

Two things that would really help this is multiplayer option (allowing friends to join you in your theater) and a text chat to go with it.

Phoenix Pro Theater Media Player is a low cost, bare bones media player. I have an issue with the word Pro describing the product and will go as far to call it misleading since the product is in essence a desktop video player and potential purchasers may expect many more features. The idea here is that on your desktop the product allows you to share a video in a theater with other audience members. The number of people in the theater are static meaning in this context that they do not change seats and there are always the same number. Audience members are also non virtual so it's not like you can setup a server and have people join your theater which would actually be kind of cool. The audience can't be moved around either which perhaps could be a future enhancement though there are slight audience movement animations as in a real theater. A nice touch by the developer going for a bit of realism though I would like to see some popcorn animations or the audience member who has a bathroom emergency and makes a dash back up the aisle to the lobby. Perhaps options like for the occasional jerk with a cell phone. Within the theater you are able to adjust your viewing angle through the interface though viewing angles are not delineated seat by seat but rather one of six sections and the back seat angles at least are quite realistic. The default back section has the best view and the three front views the worst as the interface will overlap the screen. The developer needs to address this or at least make the interface transparent when the pointing device is stagnant. There are other features like the tint option which I wasn't impressed with and I felt the developer could of spent more time developing or enhancing additional features like the aforementioned seat by seat viewing angle or perhaps offering the user an interval option for the skip button or enhancing the feel of the frame slider. The ability to change the seat leathers and wall lighting are however welcomed enhancements giving you the ability to change your theater's motif though I wasn't a big fan of the statues. Though changeable I don't remember going to a movie theater and seeing statues next to the screen where the fire emergency doors should be or stuffed deer heads on the walls. Again optional and changeable though I thought odd. Maybe the developer is from a hunting town? Just a couple of additional suggestions like the ability to change aspect ratio, the ability to drop the movie theater and just zoom right to the screen, VR capability, perhaps Youtube integration. There are tremendous possibilities here depending on how far the developer wants to enhance the product. Right now I don't see anyone using this for an actual movie though given the inventive minds of Adult Entertainment aficionados I can definitely see some use here, sitting in the rear of the theater and all :). A nice effort.
