good adaption of the board game

I have been playing one or two sessions of Clank every day for the past four weeks. Even bought the IRL game, and it is now one of the games we are most excited to play on our game nights. Strongly recommend :D

Great board game and good adaptation to PC but could do with some add ons for the online multiplayer, such as more maps and modes or rule configurations etc. to help keep it even more challenging and fresh. 😊 👍

great fast deck builder game ... could use some of the expasions that the company provides for the table top version

Unfortunately named but otherwise pretty great in all other respects, this is a very solid deck builder with plenty of variations to keep things interesting. Generally prefer to play this in person because the different permutations are fun to scope out with physical pieces but this adaptation is really tidy, with some sexy animations. Without doubt, the tabletop version is much more fiddly to play, this makes it super simple. If you like the TT game, give this a shot.

(TL;DR: It's alright if you buy it on sale. If you're new to deck builder board games, it's worth a try. If you're experienced at deck builders, this is lack luster.) Clank! is a fun deck builder that has some serious drawbacks. The lack of variety in the maps gets pretty monotonous rather quickly. In the game there are very few ways to get rid of your cards, period, which leads to situations where you're stuck with a basic hand in the end game frequently enough for it to be a significant issue with the game. The opponents turns don't often change what you're going to do, since you can only interact with what's in front of you, this makes waiting for opponents feel like an eternity. Even with fast-mode on, it's terribly slow. That being said, it has some fun cards and really interesting game mechanics. For $23 it's not worth it, but for around $10 to $15 like it is on mobile, it's worth a try.

Nice game overall, but it has some major flaws: [*] There's an issue with deck visibility, and in a deck-building game, it's crucial that your deck and discard pile are always visible. [*] The RNG is atrocious. [*] There are only two maps to play. If the maps were procedurally generated, the game would be more enjoyable. Not worth $13 in its current state — maybe pick it up on sale if you're into this genre.

A fantastically faithful iteration of the one of the best board games of all time.
