2 nd game in the series and just as good as the first game with very relaxing and fairy-tale atmosphere. Cartoony art style is the same as in the previous game 👍

I really like this game because the story line is somewhat like a prologue to the events of the dragons the nine realms TV series. I have completed the game to 100% completion, you can still play whatever level you want over and over with no setbacks. This game also runs perfectly well on my Acer Swift SF314-55. I would highly recommend to and How To Train You Dragoon fan even if you haven't even watched the Dragon The Nine Realms series!

3 out of 5* A bit pricey for the short game play. You play as a dragon, each world unlocks a new dragon. That world is based on that dragon so you learn how to use it, but Thunder doesnt really get his own world like the others do. The last one is supposed to be thunders but your always switching to other dragons that are needed. The crystals/Gems you smash to get upgrade gems you only get green and blue, orange and purple from level completion from what ive seen. it seems thunder is just the logo that isnt really needed but the game starts out like its his story. If Thunder isnt your favorite wont be a problem, maybe biased on the Thunder part as hes my favorite. Overall a cute game to fly around as a dragon and free fly is a thing but could have been a better game.

The game consists of 5 areas, which differ by location. Each location has multiple levels with various approaches. Some of those are more like LEGO game levels, while others provide bossfights or "fly and run levels" with well known dragons. If you have watched any dragons series or the httyd movies, you will spot quiete a few easter eggs and known dragons. The types of enemies vary quite a bit, even though i would have liked a few more. Still, when 100 percenting the game fighting got repetitive at the end. The skill tree is quite extensive, if you dont 100 percent the game. When going for a 100 percent run though, this tree is a bit to small. I leveled everything up at around 85 percent of the game save, while not picking up every gem in the game. For a title develloped for the switch, the graphics are really good. Sometimes, especially in the last location, the atmosphere and graphics actually blew me away. I say that as someone, who also played games like AC Origins, Witcher 3, etc.. When completing a region on challenge difficulty, you get a skin for one of the four dragons. Some of them look good, some of them okay
(why would you paint thunder orange)
.But all the skins are free, there are no micro transactions and season passes, which is really nice. The game runs completely fine on my pc from day one without any hiccups (yeah i know, bad joke). The last two points are a really rare thing in the modern gaming scene and thus make me appreciate this game more. The biggest negative point is the huge price tag of the game. For me as a day one hard core fan of the universe, this price is okay, since i genuinly enjoyed the game and had a good time. This is something i say really rarely, as the last time was in 2012 with my first nintendo game SW Elite Squadron. Also the restrictive menu is a negative point, because you cant even rebind the keys or go above the monitors resolution (without 3rd party apps). I hope this game is a success, because i want more games from this universe on this level. When i had a question, the devellopers answered very fast in the discussion hub on steam. PS: If the devellopers see this, please let me know if official soundtracks or wallpapers are available for download. Thank you guys for making this awesome game and stay safe guys. <3

So I just finished the game and it lasted 5 hours. There is a challenge mode on each level, but as far as the main story and actual content to the game, it's about 5 hours of playtime. That means you are paying $10 per hour of gameplay. If a game is doing that, it better be a life changing experience. Unfortunately, it is not. The game is fun, but nothing special. I am a huge HTTYD fan but this game didn't keep me as hooked as the previous game (Dragons: Dawn of New Riders). So the main fun thing about the game is the combat. It is way more diverse and interesting from the previous game; however, everything else is super simple. The "platforming" is simple and the puzzles are somehow easier and more simple than the previous game as well. Overall, the gameplay is only meant to really last 5 hours worth of enjoyable fun before it gets repetitive. Now this isn't a bad thing until you look at the price. This game is not worth $50 of your money. If this game was $20, it would be a lot more fair. I have no clue why they made this game $10 more than the last game which was already seen as overpriced. I feel more people would buy the game if it was $20 making them get overall more of a profit. Other than that, the visuals are nice and the story is basic. I just can't recommend to even die hard HTTYD fans with such a staggering price. Please wait for a sale of at least half off the game. I keep comparing this game to Dawn of New Riders because I find that that game is the best httyd game we have had so far. I gave that game a 7/10 since the price was just too high for what you were getting. This game for me personally has less value for a higher price. The game is a 5/10 for me. It is alright and can be quite fun and interesting, but it is way too expensive for what you are getting. If you haven't already, please go try out Dragons: Dawn of New Riders first. It is a better game and is cheaper right now if you are looking for a httyd game to scratch that itch.
