Super buggy, if you load a save you can't even "restart island" anymore, you have to let it sit for minutes to die off (surprise it doesnt even die off) new game i guess? It might be like a $2 a game

If you want a game that you can repeatedly play through yet always have a new experience, you will enjoy this. Its meditative, engaging and requires planning and problem solving. The game has surprisingly a lot of depth that you will not fully explore on your first play through. Its a fun little world builder that requires strategy but doesn't take up half of your day. Looking forward to how the game develops with further updates!

To be perfectly clear: I actually enjoy this game, and I like the puzzle concept. However, I can't recommend it as it is. It's ridiculously buggy, with mechanics frequently not working or operating inconsistently, objects and buildings sometimes freezing or not loading or even loading in partway through a level, things resetting themselves, you name it. I have yet to see any of these bugs be fixed in all the time I've owned this game. Instead, it seems like there's always more bugs cropping up. I would absolutely caution against buying this game at this time. In addition, there are some things that are very poorly or not at all explained, with tooltips and help guides that seem insufficient to the point where sometimes I can't even tell if something is an unintentional bug or a built-in feature. For instance, there are certain building types that you're supposed to be able to build on grass/dirt tiles, but when I click on said tiles, one of the building options rarely shows up. There's no requirements indicated on the tooltip like some buildings (which might have to be built on fertile ground or next to forest tiles, to name a few examples), and I have no way of knowing whether it doesn't show up because of a bug, because there's a hidden requirement to place the building that isn't indicated, or because the game can only display up to six cards at a time and so it only shows up when other options which do have requirements are unavailable, according to some invisible hierarchy. If there's a way to see more cards than that, there is no explanation as to how, and that's only one example of the kind of mess that this game is. I hate to say it but it's not worth the price, not as is, not even on sale. I deeply hope to see this game working properly one day so I can actually recommend it, because the gameplay itself is fun... when it works. I wouldn't get rid of it since I already have it, and I can usually deal with things for a while before I become too frustrated to keep going and quit, but to anyone who might be looking at reviews considering whether or not to buy this, all I can say is don't.

Definitely a little janky and in desperate need of some more content, but also 10/10 great vibes. Worth tossing on your wishlist and seeing where it goes in a couple updates!

Nice cruisy game with suprising depth. Took me longer than expected to puzzle my way through the first island. Looking forward to future updates.

I thought this game was really cool! I particularly enjoyed the graphics and the calming nature sounds within the background music. Would definitely recommend for a nice chill game playing experience!

I can easily see how one may lose themselves playing this game given its relaxing atmosphere and in-depth building combinations. There is a pleasant vibe despite its complexity and found myself thinking meticulously about what the most optimal set up would be. A lot of fun, definitely would recommend.

A nice combination of elements from similar games that is its own tasty recipe. Like Dorfromantik's chill tile-based city building mixed with Reus's proximity-based biome development. Really neat, I'm very excited to see where the road to 1.0 leads.

Fun, but I think worth noting only really a city builder insofar as the tiles you are placing are ostensibly a city. This is a puzzle game with discrete 'levels' that you beat, not an ongoing build-up-your-city type game, which, while disappointing as it's what I was hoping for, I can't knock it for. Also unsure how it got the user defined tag as roguelite, as I really can't identify any roguelike or even roguelite elements to it. That being said I do recommend it with those caveats. One of the other reviews favorably compared the biome elements to Reus, and I would further that comparison by pointing out that this game is much less stressful - both in terms of time pressure and in terms of city hazards - than Reus is, in a positive sense. This is, primarily, because this is more puzzle game than city builder, but I think if the dev considered expanding a part of the game in more of a growing-city direction with the possibility to expand and develop an island, and additional buildings and biomes (though these are mentioned as planned in the early access summary), it would give it a lot more replay value. It's a great start and worth playing now, but certainly could become more, which the devs seem to be aware of.

The game as it is now has some bugs which are annoying(edit: the developer has released a couple patches already, and the game is much smoother). 2nd EDIT: After the latest patch the game runs pretty smooth, and adding the menu option was great! Very cool concept here, and the game is actually a lot of fun to play. Looking forward to future improvements and I hope the developer keeps at it! Recommended to get it now as its fun to watch these things grow!
