I was extremely let down by the writing and characters. In a title of this type, I had expected there to be development to the relationships and stories of characters but it turned out to be all trite and surface-level. Incredibly disappointing when the achievement for completing half the story came up. Like another reviewer said, this was fairly gratuitous grief p*rn.
There was also a minor technical(?) or mixing issues; the volume for sound effects were inconsistent and generally considerably louder even despite lowering the SFX volume to 10% while the music was at a fine volume.

In a sentence, Bear's Restaurant is bittersweet narrative about living (or dying) with grief. The game play itself is reminiscent of a point and click adventure game, but the star of the show is the plot. At first I thought it was sweet in the cheesy sort of way, but there are punches that I never expected.
Absolutely give Bear's Restaurant a chance if you like narrative games.
